Soundwave '09
Going to this festival in February. Line-up is attached. Gonna be so fucking sweet. Can't believe Dillinger is playing at the same time as Minus the Bear. That is just cruel. Since no way will I miss a second of Minus the Bear but I really wanted to see Dillinger But they lose out for the sweet sweet grooves of Jake Snider and co.

This is my plan:

12:20 slot: toss-up between Saves the Day and Less Than Jake, both of whom I would watch for nostalgia's sake, since I used to love both bands but haven't really listened to them in ages.

1:20 slot: toss-up between Finch and Jack's Mannequin, for the same reason as above.

2:20 slot: Jaguar Love

3:20 slot: This slot is a bastard. Poison the Well, Straylight Run, Moneen AND Rival Schools all playing at the same time. I wanted to see all four of these bands, but that's not gonna happen. Minus the Bear play the slot after Straylight Run on the same stage, so I'll definitely see at least the second half of Straylight so I have a good spot for Minus. So it's a toss-up between Rival Schools (who I never thought I'd see), Poison the Well and Moneen for the first half-hour or so. I am so torn about this timeslot right now. Probbbbably catch Moneen then Straylight Run. That's what I'm angling towards.

4:20 slot: Minus the Bear (sorry Hellogoodbye and Dillinger )

5:20 slot: Not really fussed on any of the bands in this slot. Probably take this time to get some food or something. If I have the time, I'll check out 36crazyfists. Or maybe the Bloodhound Gang, for nostalgia/shits and giggles.

6:20 slot: toss-up between Chiodos and HORSE the Band.

7:20 slot: Say Anything

8:20 slot: Alkaline Trio

9:20 slot: Bayside

Fuck yeah. That is gonna be one hell of a day. And THEN, I am going to see Mogwai like 10 days later. Maybe Death Cab, too, since they're playing the week after Soundwave, so if I scrounge together some money I might grab a ticket for that. SO MUCH GOODNESS. Everything is coming up Mitch.
