hockey ?

So, went to my first game in like 5-10yrs last night (Bruins won in OT over the Habs).

Anyway, I admit, I don't watch much, but have they gone back to the mid 90's, where they don't allow any fighting?

There were a couple of fights that got close and the refs dove in and grabed people and arms...

So, has it been this way all season, or just since the Bert incident?

Somebody will probably mention the instigator rule later in this thread, so I'll let them say more.

i think it just depends on the ref's, and happens on and off depending. i think it's stupid, i mean if two guys wanna go then let them go and get it over with otherwise they'll just pair up later on anyways. they might interject if they're worried about stuff getting out of hand like at the philly/ottawa game but still i think repressing it makes it worse.
