Who should Heyman manage?

It has been rumored that Heyman may return to Smackdown or RAW as a manager before the whole ECW launch happens. Who do you think he should be with? With Heyman talking the brunt of everything it has to be someone with awesome ring technique but shallow mic skills; also not afraid to make a heel turn. Here's what I'm thinking for possible choices:

If SD!:

1.) Rob Van Dam- This would be absolutely freakin awesome. It could even lead into the launch of ECW. Or Heyman and RVD can complain how the WWE has never really given RVD a signifigant chance to get ahead in the company and this could produce a mass winning streak into main event status. Can you imagine Heyman holding up the chair when the ref is distracted so RVD can do the Van Daminator? I'm marking just thinkin about it.

2.)Sean O'Haire- Sean doesn't have that shallow of mic skills but he desperately needs a chance to show management what he can do. I propose that Heyman backs him up and the move into a high mid-card or main event spot in a short period of time. Even if this was just short term, it would give O'Haire some credibility and further solidify the godly managing techniques of Heyman

If RAW:

1.)Rhyno- Establish him as a "monster killer", stamp a main event label on him and you've got yourself a star. With Rhyno's ferocity and Heyman's mic skills this would be gold.

2.) A-train- They could play to where Heyman says that if he has to be on Raw, then he's gonna take it over from the bottom up. He recruits A-train to help him inject cancer into the RAW brand. They randomly destroy people and take their demands to management. Have A-train in a couple of main event spots until Heyman turns on him to go to bigger and better things.

I was thinkin that too, maybe more so than RVD cause RVD can go up other ways. Without help, Rhyno is forever stuck in midcard hell. Also, Heyman works better with huge beasts...

Trouble with RVD is that nobody wants to boo him. Going against the fans isn't the best idea.

O'Haire with Heyman would be interesting.

That ain't necessarily a bad thing. Even Lesnar was halfway-over as a face. Been a good number of people who got cheered while attempting to be heel...

I've always had a theory that it is pretty simple to have a guy turn heel (if he isn't like the most over guy in the company) and that's to have him do something to the top face. I could see RVD going heel with Heyman... put him in a match against Eddie, and have Heyman come out and blast Eddie with a chair. Then have RVD shake hands with Heyman and like flip off the crowd or something. Lotsa ways to make it work. In the longrun though, yeah, it'd wear off. Unless he came out talking trash about how the town's football team sucks or something. A good promo could work too. Then again, they're already using Eddie's heat to give Bradshaw a heel push ATM, so I dunno.

Even if RVD didn't work as a heel, I'd love to see Heyman in his corner. And have him get a real push. He's been beating midcarders nonstop forever now. I rarely see him lose. And even rarer see him lose clean. He is kinda like... Tatanka right now. He is mid-carding, has alot of wins, is over, but is stuck.

He got a couple pops. Like the times when he would get all pissed off and take off his jacket and waddle down the ring, even though he knew Austin would whip his ass.

How about if Heyman showed up on Both RAW and Smackdown? Maybe Rhyno on RAW and Ohaire/Jindrak on Smackdown? I Think that Heyman should show up on Both shows as a way to stick it to the WWE for screwing him over so many times? Of course something like this would lead to an ECW invasion that I don't really want to see, so I'm not sure of it's a good idea.

Problem isn't him getting heat against Eddie, which would work under your scenario. Its a problem when he faces a face who isn't so over, like say Rikishi or something. People are likely to cheer for RVD, which pretty much goes against what they would be trying to do.

I definately think they should explore an RVD-Eddie program, but I think it would work much better as a face-face respect type deal.

How about Paul Heyman and Molly Holly? Two bald freaks united!

No? Maybe Heyman and Matt Morgan. The guy has some promise to him, and Heyman could boast that Morgan is the NEW next big thing.

If not, then Heyman and RVD is pure gold, I just don't think the WWE will do it.

Yeah, you're right, they would need a steady line-up of well-over people on SmackDown! to keep him going as a heel, and that's something SmackDown just doesn't have right now.

He should start with some ECW guy, then just start collecting people. Next thing you know he's got half of the smackdown roster and a big foothold in putting himself back in charge.

I thought about this concept once before when Test started collecting slaves starting with Stacy, then collecting Steiner. It would have been pretty awesome if he kept going with that and started collecting a good number of people.

Well, this might be something...Source: PWTorch.com Newsletter

The plan right now is for Paul Heyman to return as a heel manager on SmackDown!, and not directly head into his role as head of the rogue ECW company.

While WWE is still heavily considering an ECW return, the current plans have Heyman returning as a manager, who will have a huge impact, rather than the commissioner of a new company right away.

If they do go the ECW route, he could technically steal some talent from RAW and SmackDown! during the course of his return. Again, that is still in the plans, but is not the immediate idea for his return. Heyman made his return as Lesnar's manager after WMX8 two years ago, and was responsible for getting Brock Lesnar so over. It should be interesting to see how this plays out.

If Raw, then Tajiri. Heyman would be a great mouthpiece for him, and if pushed right, Tajiri can be viewed as a legitimate threat, and not just towards lightweights.

If Smackdown, Charlie Haas, or Matt Morgan ( who would go after The Undertaker)

If On Smackdown

Rob Van Dam
I don't really think I could say anything new that no one else hasn't said before. I think Paul would be able to put just thr right amount of hype around Mr. Thrusday Night.

Matt Morgan
He's a big guy that the WWE appears to be very high on, why not have Paul become his manager. Use Matt Morgan as a way of getting revenge on John Cena. Morgan vs. Cena would be a good way to keep the the US title scene intresting.

Billy Gunn
I always thought if they used Billy Gunn right he could be a main event star. Sure it seems more and more unlikly as the years go on, but once again Paul could build up the hype with Gunn pretty good, at least making him a viable United States title contender.

If on Raw

Shelton Benjiman
He could hitch his wagon to Shelton and call him the greatest technical wrestler in the WWE, and that's how they could get Shelton over by himself. I just want to see Shelton succeed so much that I think Heyman could get him over, at least in the begining.

Sean Morley & Lance Storm
Notice how I used Val's previously used Cheif name. What he would end up doing is comming into Raw and say that these two are two of the best physically gifted men in the WWE, but they lack direction. Heyman give them direction by making them the most lethal tag champs on the Raw brand. He builds them to the point that they could legitimatly beat main event tag teams (like say Benoit & Jericho) not because there both main eventers but there team work is unparalled.

Edge
Wouldn't it be one hell of a swerve if Edge and Benoit were in a main event for the Heavyweight Championship, and Heyman walked down to ring side and you had no idea why until he handed Edge brass knucks (or something) and wham! You get another main event heel on your hands. The Heyman comes out the next night and says how Edge was robbed of a year in his career and that Edge is fed up with the way the WWE treated him while he was away, and how the WWE should have protected him from getting his neck broken. This could also work with Edge after a few months then joining Heyman's ECW and taking the World Heavyweight belt with him, I think that'd be sick.

There has been a rumor going around that RVD will turn heel in the upcoming months. Perhaps with Paul Heyman on his side this might work out. Then this could easily turn into an ECW thing going on.

I don't want to see a ECW invasion as such but something of the sort, not one thats just gonna last a couple of months and be a complete flop like wcw, but something like an ecw stable like a DX thing. And it would f'in rule if heyman teamed up with RVD and they could form a heel stable like DX but with former ECW stars in it.Maybe include Booker T to sicne they were tag team champs the other week.
