Better Movie #11
American Beauty won five Oscars, but even the Academy couldn't protect the film from getting it's ass kicked all the way to 1955 and back.
For their next battle, Doc and Marty must travel all the way to 1986 for what's shaping up to be a classic 80's showdown. Better Movie #11 ![]() Back to the Future vs. ![]() Ferris Bueller's Day Off ![]() Last edited by Supreme Olajuwon; 06-25-2009 at 01:05 PM. |

Well I don't think any of you really love FBDO. That's what I think.

Well, I'm kind of disappointed that American Beauty lost but now I know how ct2k felt when Pulp Fiction lost to Ghostbusters. I'll take the defeat in stride.
BTTF here. |

BTTF is one of the best trilogies ever. It should never be remade. We need to preserve, and revere such a timeless classic. Pun intended.

Two great classic 80's films, no doubt, but I have to go with Back to the Future. Both movies are fun flicks, made to make you feel good about life, but the reason why I vote for BTF is because I believe what makes a good film is all about emotion, and how many different ones you feel through out the viewing experience, and I think Back to the Future can make the average viewer experience happiness, amusement, angry, sympathy, and lastly, inspiration. Ferris Bueller I think overall just makes the viewer feel good and amused, with some slight sadness and sympathy, but if this were a numbers game, the overall scoreboard scores BTF the winner because it has more points on the emotions list. Ferris Bueller is still a great movie, and I mean no disrespect towards Ferris, a.k.a. the Sausage king of Chicago.
