I'll give credit to Phelps for excelling in a variety of races, and you have to be in crazy good shape to compete as an Olympic swimmer. Still, Federer has achieved more over his career and is a bigger international star.

Well, that and Phelps went to Michigan. Fuck Michigan.

I'm actually curious how someone "hates" Phelps. Federer has been an absolute cunt on a plethora of occasions. Phelps has been quite modest for what the child has accomplished. I demand proof that this guy deserves hatred. Both guys reset the "impervious bar" in their sport, so this is nearly impossible. I guess you have to look at how many years pass between the changing of this guard.
