Tito Training with Freddie Roach
I've never really like Tito Ortiz until sometime around the second Liddell fight and then I started to like Tito Ortiz. Sure, he hasn't beaten anyone worthwhile since he eeked out a close decision with Forrest Griffin (though I thought Forrest won). But, it's good to see that Tito will be back in the octagon and possibly fighting Mark Coleman. I think a Coleman fight is very winable for Ortiz, just put Coleman on his back and pound him for three round.
But it looks like Tito is looking to actually improve a much meligned aspect of his game and is training boxing with famed boxing trainer Freddie Roach. I'm glad to see that Tito is now trying to improve his game and become less one dimensional. It used to be back in the day taking a guy down and pounding him out worked, but not any more. I'm just afraid it might be too little too late. It's also nice to see a boxing guy in Freddie Roach is embracing Mixed Martial Artists if not Mixed Martial Arts itself. |
