I've said it before and I'll say it again...
Anyone who compares Lucuna Coil and Evanescence needs to be slapped around a bit.

It's like comparing Lou Reed to Eminem.

If you try it and like it, see if you can get anything by a band called "tribe."

Not Elavator Tribe, tribe called Quest, Tribe of Judah, or any of the other bands with tribe in their name...

When I can find the records, I'ma rip 'em and put 'em in my shared slsk documents.

Even if you aren't into the band, let me know if the female lead from LC sounds like Janet (The lead for Tribe).

Hence why I said female lead, because Janet doesn't sound at all like the male lead.

I also think that's one of the reasons LC and Ev get compared. That one song with the guy from 12 stones has a male and a female vocalist, even though the song woulld be 600 times better without most of his lines...

Still, it's closer to Linkin Park with a sex change on that song.

One of the girls at work was crapping on about evansense and how cool they were, so I said If you like that sort of thing check out Lacuna Coil. I gave her a copy of Comalies and she fucking loved it. After a few listens she then agreed that Lacuna Coil was indeed better than evansence. Although she still likes evansense, so my mission was not entirely a success.

I was in a work mates car the other day and he had on 94.5 FM "no rap no hard rock" and they played evansence

Yea, I have to thank Marbear for introducing me to LC...they have some good tunes.

I am going to pick up their CD soon, whenever I remember to look for it at the record store (or is it CD store?).

As for comparing them to Ev, I wouldn't. I hate comparing so and so to another band....they all have their own distinctness, unless you like Creed

LC is definitely BETTER, Nunder. It's just that there isn't much of a line of direct comparison.

You know, except for both being bands, having girls in them, and not being Brittney Spears...

Oh, and I wasn't able to find any stuff by Tribe. But then I use Direct Connect, which can be a bit specialist depending on what hubs you use...

That new Evanescense song is such trash. They play it all the time on the radio but it is just really slow and shitty. Turn it off.

I will say this about Lacuna Coil....The lead singer's got a southern-like twang to her voice....like she should be a country singer. However, their songs are awesome

LC is better, Evanescence got old. And LC's female singer should sing more, she has an amazing voice (had to say it)

Ive only heard Lacuna Coil once and that Evanessence song 8000000000000000000000 times but I must say that the first one has the added bonus of not sucking. You know how that goes

Okay, if I were to go to my local CD store and pick up ONE Lacuna Coil album - which one would that be?

I looked at a few and other than Falling, I haven't heard much from them yet (I will, once my computer gets fixed). The only thing I can say though is - that lead singer, she's hot...
