Chuck Liddell to Appear on “Dancing with the Stars”
Former UFC light heavyweight champion and hall-of-famer Chuck Liddell will appear on the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars”.

“I want to win,” Liddell, who’s sitting out until mid-2010 while deciding on retiring, today told UFC.com. “I don’t like losing in anything, so I’ll work as hard as they’ll let me.”

“Dancing With The Stars” premieres on Monday, September 21st at 8pm on ABC.

If this is the best work he can get outside fighting, expect to see him in the cage before the end of next year.

I honestly think this retirement thing is all strategy, to make sure he gets a decent buyrate for his comeback fight. There is no way they could sell another PPV to current standards with Chuck headlining after his last 2 years, but moreso his last fight.

I think this is a fantastic business move for UFC. Getting one of there biggest stars out there. Imagine if he does good. This could open up hundreds of thousands of new people to UFC. This is brilliant to be quite honest. I'm rooting for him.

Because the next step in gaining a bigger market share for UFC is the prime time, celebrity reality bullshit audience? I dunno man...

Whats weird, is I didn't like Chuck at all when he was winning. And now he keeps losing, I have grown a soft spot.

oh... probably not, but there will be a lot of peopel who have barely heard of MMA or even chuck liddel, and if he acts like a viable human being on the show and does good, he will probably get those people to check out what he does. Whether they like what they see from there is another story.
