So I'm having problem with a device...

I bought a Pinnacle USB PCTV unit years ago, and recently I bought a Logitech headset that identified it as Pinnacle PCTV audio. Then I picked up a new Bluetooth adapter (hence the other thread) for music purposes, and it also identified as a Bluetooth adapter. This one's from Motorola.

So I Googled it, and found several people with similar problems who said to run a registry repair program or manually edit the registry yourself. I did one, then the other. I deleted the Pinnacle entry, which was obvious, and a second that was called "Vision" or something which was solely devoted to my unit. The fucker is, not only didn't it work, but the second entry came back.

Like, seriously.

the Pinnacle entry and subentries are still gone, but this other one keeps coming back, and it still IDs my USB devices (just those two) as the Pinnacle product.

Is there anything I might be missing as a solution any of y all might be able to think of? Hasney, I'm looking your way....

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”
