Connect to a single screen computer using a dual screen computer with VNC

Okay, this is what I want to do...

I have an old iBook that I want to learn Final Cut Pro on (it has FCP installed, so that's not an issue). I don't like that this iBook though has a small screen and crap controls on it though. So what I want to do is network the iBook into my main PC (which has dual screens) using VNC, or another freeware that could help me out.

My final goal here is to be able to control my iBook using my main PC, and be able to view the iBook on both screens so I can spread out the FCP work station. Does anyone know if this is possible?
