WWE Best of Smackdown Review
Pretty good DVD set that brought back some great memories. Tons of Kurt Angle stuff as well as Brock Lesnar and classic stuff from the Rock. It was a countdown of the best moments starting from 100 to 1.
Probably the most shocking part of the DVD was when they got to moment #15 on the countdown which was TLC III from 2001 I believe and it featured The Hardys vs. The Dudleys vs. Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. I say shocking because WWE has avoided Benoit in all ways since he died and killed and it was hard to believe that they actually showed his face close up making the entrance with Jericho and him grabbing the belt from the top of the ladder. They didn't say Benoit's name during that moment but at least it is progress. Pissed that they left his match off the countdown altogether with Austin from 2001 where it went a long match and Benoit german suplexed him like 15 times in a row, awesome match that didn't even make the top 100. Also snubbed from the countdown was the debut of Stacy Keibler when she walked out with Shane during the Test/Rhyno match. That dress she wore during the debut was sexy as hell and was short enough that you saw 40 and 3/4 inches of her 41 inch legs, it barely covered her business, it was great, not on the DVD folks sorry to say. Other good moments were the Chuck/Billy commitment cerimony where Bischoff has an old man mask on and plays the minister and brings out 3 minute warning to slam Stephanie, Vince kissing Rikishi's ass, Hogan as Mr. America, Taz vs. Triple H, JBL as a border patrol, and John Cena's debut match vs. Kurt Angle oh and Stone Cold vs. RVD from 2001/Alliance storyline, Stone Cold vs. Booker in the grocery store, and Eddie Guerrero spraying Big Show with liquid shit. Paid $19.99 for it at my local Best Buy store, definitely worth the money. Anyone else see the DVD and got feedback? |
