Tugboat/Typhoon heel turn

Hey does anybody remember how Tuboat turned heel and became Typhoon? What happened exactly that turned him heel?

They were doing an angle where various managers were trying to get Andre The Giant to return to the ring and work for them. Jimmy Hart's pull was that he wanted to team him with Earthquake as the biggest tag team in WWF history. He announced Andre had signed and Andre denied it and was beaten up by Earthquake and Tugboat and they formed a team.

My memory is a bit sketchy here so someone might correct me on certain aspects of the storyline.

Yep.

At that point,Andre had turned down Slick,Mr.Fuji,etc...

Then when he turned down Jimmy Hart,Earthquake attacked him,and
took out his leg....Tugboat was recruited shortly thereafter, and they
formed The Natural Disasters. After dumping Hart, they got the tag
belts,and had feuds with LOD,Beverly Brothers,and others,before WWF
fazed them out.

Earthquake came back to feud with Adam Bomb and Yokozuna in
the mid-1990's,but Typhoon never made a return (in WWF)....After
doing some time in WCW,Tenta ('Quake) returned to WWF as Golga,
part of The Oddities...

Thanks Rob and KeyfabeMan, but I just have one more ?. I remember Earthquake attacking Andre's leg, but did Typhoon aid in the attack or did Jimmy Hart just go to him like a week later and ask him to join up with Earthquake?

Ricky:

Earthquake got a nice push off of the angle; about the same as Yoko
did. They even did a "Sumo Match" on RAW,where the ropes got taken
down from the ring and to win you had to,of course, get the other guy
outside.I believe Earthquake won that match. That was around 1994...

Loose Cannon:

I believe Hart & Earthquake recruited Typhoon/Tugboat at a later
date.I remember Andre grabbing Hart,Hart tossing the megaphone
to 'Quake, and Quake taking out Andre's leg....

Yeah I have footage of that somewhere, as one of the old PPV'S showed a flashback to that segment. I forget which one though. I wish I I had footage of HART and Quake asking Tugboat to join them cause I never seen it before. Thanks again

Hacksaw Jim Duggen also had a sumo match with Yoko. I think it was when Yoko was feuding with Lex Luger.

The PPV is SummerSlam 91 with the footage, Natural Disasters vs The Bushwackers with Andre outside. Disasters were about to kick Andres ass when LOD came out and forced them back, resulting in a pointless never finished fued.

Well hacksaw was the first to knock yoko off his feet! Wasnt a sumo match just a normal match! I remember it was on wrestling challenge then after that program, they showed it on sports saturday on sky sports like it was a breaking news story!

Strange!
