I never really liked him and he never entertained me. And when I heard he was released I was all like

I dunno. People here seem to love him, for the most part. I didn't get to see much of him in WCW and, well, pretty much nothing of him in WWE. I liked his look and he seemed to be a decent talent from the matches I've seen, but I was never attached to him where I was disappointed he was released.
I hope he does goto TNA and they'll surely use him to his potential. |

Never really liked him in WCW... I liked his promo's, but ringwise he didn't really impress me.

i thought Sean O'Haire could've been made into a decent competetor. The writers just didn't capitalize on his gimmick well enough, and they just assumed no one would care about him after piper left. They had him go over ****ing Hulk Hogan for Christ's sake.

I didn't mind OHaire, but it seems was really not pushed the way he should've. When I went to SmackDown last August, he had a match against Funaki.

I thought he was decent, and maybe deserved a better shot, but I'm really not shedding a tear or anything either.

Afaik he either got an injury and was given time off then sent to ovw, or just got the boot down to ovw after the highly successful "invasion" angle. ![]() |

I remember O'Haire as one of the prominent members of the Natural Born Thrillers (one of the only things WCW did right in their dying year). I remember that he and Mark Jindrak had some great tag matches, and I remember Sean O'Haire being able to do a perfect Swanton Bomb that put Jeff Hardy's to shame.
The guy had all the right tools to make it in the WWE. Vince just didn't see it. |

Yea I kinda agree. When I found out he got released I wasn't like "WWE just let go of one hell of a talent". I guess he had potential but he always seemed a little lazy to me.

O'Haire definately had potential, but he didn't make the most of it. He went over quite a few guys, including Benoit, but he wasn't as great as most people make him out to be.

His original "devils advocate" gimmick had GREAT potential. He was cutting great promos, and the fans were starting to react to him before they lumped him with Piper and sent him up the creek. Too bad, really. A Cena/O'Haire feud would have rocked.

Ya, I never cared either. I don't remember seeing him wrestle. I probably turned the channel.

The real question is why do they keep people like Bradshaw, but then fire guys who might actually be entertaining if given a chance

![]() Or Test and Billy Gunn for that matter. O'Haire wasn't one of my favorites in WCW, but like alot of people said, he had potential, especially with the "Devil's Advocate" character. Last edited by diamondcutter; 04-09-2004 at 02:58 AM. Reason: grammar errors |
