Can't stand Bo Selecta, although it probably has it's moments.
Avid Merrion was alright when I heard him on Radio 1 (on Chris Moyles show I do believe). Don't like the single being released for Christmas, it's a cheap cash-in (like a lot of things this time of year), but it's not even a good cash-in |

The single isn't too good, but then again neither is the Darkness' single. So either of them could do it. Don't forget this is the country that sent Mr Blobby to the top of the charts.

I like the Darkness' single, it reminds me of old school christmas songs.

I didn't like the show when I saw it but the song's quite catchy. It's better than the Cheeky Girls at any rate

I really don't like the Darkness' single, simply because it reminds me of all the stuff they play in shopping centres while you are trying to get all the xmas shopping done as quickly as possible so you can get the hell out of there. The video is sufficiently cheesy though.
In closing, I hate shopping at christmas |

it's hit and miss, but the stuff that's good is great. I like it.
Also, anyone who considers the darkness anything more than a comedy gimmick band and think them a saviour of real music needs to be shot. |
