The Official Roddy Piper Tribute Thread
There are tons of reports going around online that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's cancer has returned and he is terminally ill. The irony in all of this is that I visited my local Vintage Stock store last night and added the Roddy Piper Story DVD to my collection, not even knowing what was going on with him, then I hear about this today.

The Piper's Pit at Wrestlemania 5 with Piper, Brother Love, and Morton Downey Jr. is one of my all time favorite pieces of wrestling comedy ever.

I also loved his Hall of Fame speech. It was very funny, and emotional too. Seeing Ric Flair laugh uncontrollable and nearly purple in the face from laughter was hilarious.

Everyone share some of your favorite Roddy Piper memories by telling stories, posting pictures, or posting videos.

You wanna know how talented Roddy Piper is? He go so into it and so emotional, that he made the fans believe that Virgil was a viable wrestling opponent against Ted DiBiase. Now thats fuckin' talent folks.

So while it is great to pay tribute to a great wrestler, it appears that it's a false alarm regarding his health situation.

I just watched the Wrestlemania 5 Pipers pit today on dvd before logging on here. Great segment.

I met Roddy Piper last January and can honestly say he's the kindest guy - bar no one - that i have ever met. He really took a keen interest in what everyone was doing in life and who they actually are. Such a genuine guy.

Maybe my favorite all time wrestling personality. Apparently he is having some health problems but the terminal cancer is just a rumor.
