Super J cup possibly returning

From the most recent chikara newsletter

Quote:
In years past, most notably 1994 and 1995, an all-star tournament of the world's top junior heavyweights was conducted under the banner of the "Super J Cup." Past editions have been hosted by the likes of WAR and Osaka Pro, but the original was done by New Japan Pro Wrestling, who also happens to own the name "Super J Cup." Thanks to a friend of ours over in that office, we have opened discussions about CHIKARA being able to use the name "Super J Cup" for a giant wrestling spectacle in 2010. Considering our connections with wrestling companies around the globe, we have the potential to gather together a terrific sampling of the world's finest. NJPW last leased the tournament name out in 2004, and has gone unused since.
With Chikara having working relationships with several Japanese companies, this could be a pretty stacked tournament.

2004 was utter crap. Thought there would never be another after that.

You had CIMA, KENTA, Minoru Tanaka, Lyger, Delphin, Shinzaki, Taka Michinoku, Billy Ken Kid, and Tigers Mask there, and they were in tag matches instead of the tournament. Which was 7 undercard guys and Naomichi Marufuji. Horrid.
