Apple's mobileMe

Bought an iPhone about two weeks ago (the 3G, not the 3GS) and absolutely love it. Looking at the mobileME which costs $99 a year. Seems cool, but that is pretty pricey. Is there any reason why I should have mobileMe or am I pretty good with sticking with Google or Yahoo for email and calendars?
