With the talk of the possible renaming of Judgment Day...
I present the first War Games match on July 4, 1987.

The place: The Omni in Atlanta, GA. This Match took place during the Great American Bash Tour of 1987.

The Participants are: Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Lex Luger, and J.J. Dillon (The Horsemen) vs. Hawk, Animal, Dusty Rhodes, Nikita Koloff, and Paul Ellering (The Superpowers/Dream Team).

The BattleGround: Two rings completely enclosed in a Double Steel Cage with a roof.

The Rules: There are 9 periods in War Games. The First lasts 5 minutes, all other periods are 2 minutes. The match cannot end until all 10 men are in. One man from each team enters for Period 1. After Period 1, the referee flips a coin, the team winning the toss sends in a second man. After Period 2, the other team sends in a second man, making it 2-2. After Period 3, the coin flip winner sends in their 3rd man. Teams alternate periods until all 10 men are in. The Match Beyond will then begin. There are no pinfalls, countouts, or DQs. The Match Beyond will continue until 1 man Submits or Surrenders.
