After seeing the promo on RAW with Orton, i believe he has huge potential as a new crowd favourite. I think he has that cheekiness which the Rock had.

Kofi Johnson Kingston can honestly never replace Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Just a fact. Not hating on Kofi at all either, but it's hard to compare anyone to The Rock IMO.

Also have you fucking heard the Rock on the Mic. The guy brought down the house with every word he said. Kofi showed competance and confidence and poise but I mean come on. The Rock was above and beyond, he played the crowd like a violin.

This is the first time he's gotten the chance to talk. It's very hard to tell. And honestly at the end of the day he's probably just going to have another generic "push" where he gets to a certain level but not fully to the top and then bounces around the upper mid card like he's been doing.

I didn't see the promo, but it is hard to believe that this guy could get to the Rock's level. However, being the optimist here, I will not put it outside the realm of possibility. And try not to be offended by some of the comments up there. Calling someone a moron for something like this should get someone banned from a forum. As far as I'm concerned, everyone better hope Kingston or someone else can get to that level just for the sake of the business.

Well they didn't go all the way through with MVP. It was as if he needed to get at Orton so the crowd would "automatically" follow him. But then, he just did other things.

Kofi actually fucked up Orton's car, so you know this isn't going to die in a week.

I don't see him as "the next Rock" but you can certainly draw some comparisons from when Rocky Maivia traded in his smile and his goofy haircut for The Nation of Domination and the name that took him to the top.

Oh FFS, Kofi did one great promo and he's being labled as the next Rock? Come on.

That said, it was pretty impressive though. A few people are throwing around the MVP thing, and in all honesty, his face turn has limited what he can do with the character, or at least he isn't being written for / booked into anything memorable. Which is a damn shame, because MVP is great. He's my favourite guy on RAW right now, for some reason.
