The Basics - With this Ship



Man, some quality stuff coming out of Australia at the moment. The Basics are probably best known for having Gotye as their drummer, but they are super neat, tidy and intelligently built pop, unobnoxious and musically diverse enough to prevent it from feeling bubblegummy at any point.

The opening part for some reason sounds like a bunch of other songs to me. Like as soon as it started I thought I had heard it a bunch of times already.

Sadly I have no examples.
