Davari/ Shiek Abdul Bashir Thread


Shawn Davari's been in wrestling for awhile now in both TNA and WWE, what do you think about him? He's ok in my book, not really as great of a Middle Eastern heel as the Iron Shiek but his characters have alittle more depth that Iron Shiek had. I liked his work as the "angry farsi speaker" with Muhammad Hassan, and as Khali's mouthpiece but other that that his work in WWE was forgettable. I like him in World Elite (then again Brittish Invasion/ World Elite is one of the only reasons I watch TNA), I think that he still has more he can do in the wrestling business. His tag matches with Kiyoshi are good, even though he's injuried right now (big elbow brace in the video). I wouldnt mind if he started using it as a weapon, and he can be kinda like Bob Orton used his cast. I wouldnt mind seeing him go out own again, if they could find a bigger, menicing middle Eastern guy to be his "enforcer" so it's not just this little angry guy yelling. I dont think anbody wants to see another Great Khali or a "middle eastern Rob Terry", I've just always found Davari better with someone than just by himself.

Easy cheat heat gimmick, very solid on the mic, wrestling is decent, not outstanding, but a strong guy to help make other people on any roster for any promotion IMO.

Gotta agree with Dave. There's nothing about the guy, for example, that makes me want to see him become a World Champion, or anything. He gets good, consistent heat, though, and is more than capable in the ring. He's good for helping whoever he is in the ring with get attention.

To be fair, he should never be any kind of champion except Cruiser or X.


I like him well enough but he isn't thread worthy.
