Merlin

Many of us on this side of the Atlantic probably have never heard of it but I caught the first season last year and at first it seems a little...I don't know how to say, well it seems like it is low budget for example Merlin's outfit seems bland and simple but I have taken quite a liking to the show. It has Anthony Head aka Giles from Buffy as Uthor who is Arthur's father and the King of Camelot so it's gotta be decent right? Arthur, Gwen, Morgana and Merlin are all pretty young and this is obviously way before Arthur becomes king. I suggest you give it a try if you like this sort of thing.

Also the girl who plays Morgana is gorgeous. She's like a cross between Rachel Weisz and Keira Knightly.

Merlin would have a simple outfit. He is just a man servant at this point.

I caught it a few times. Seems alright. Nothing special.

That's not what I was talking about. The quality of the outfits looks like a Cosplay person made it. First time I saw it I thought he was a bandit in the Wild Wild West or something.

With a two year old thread and only two replies, I wasn't sure if I should bump this, but people would probably bitch either way, so whatever.

I ignored the show when it first came out over here because it was on "SyFy."

Seeing it on Netflix, I checked it out. I'm liking it quite a bit thus far (9 episodes in, so it's not like I'm an expert). I like the cast and characters. I could do with some of the silliness taken out, and the wardrobe and effects can be corny, but given it's a British show, I should probably be thankful they didn't have to bring clothes from home.

Really like Anthony Stewart Head as Uther, and the kid who plays Merlin makes me think of Peter Wingfield. Not a bad thing, even if he was last seen fleeing the Highlander franchise (though who can blame him?)

I don't think i finished the second season. I saw that it's up to 4 seasons now and have been meaning to pick it up again.

Another TV show from the BBC which is similar to Merlin if i recall, the one with Robin Hood.

It was okay - But it made it amazing with the smoking hot Maid Marian.



Also just noticed shes being cast in the new season of True Blood. NO doubt she will get her baps out... A man can hope.

Watched that up til Marian died, because that was all that was streaming on Netflix at the time. I'm told the rest is up. I should really see it.

I like Merlin a lot more, but that was solid.
