Random Keyboard and Mouse jottings

After I kind of unorthodoxly upgraded from Windows 98 to XP, two things don't work correctly.

1. The numbers on the right side of the keyboard don't work.

2. When I hold down the little thing in the middle of the mouse to glide around it doesn't work in some places.

Anyone know how to fix this? Grazie

Make sure your Num Lock key is on for the keyboard.

As for the mouse, go to the brand's website and download the XP drivers for it.
