I remember No Way Out and Backlash being pretty damn good, but I didn't watch any of the PPVs later in the year

I voted for The Bash because I was there and that Jericho/Mysterio match was amazing live. Plus, Jericho and Edge winning the tag titles was a huge markout moment for me.

This years Rumble match itself was fantastic. The rest of the PPV, aside from the Edge match, kind of lacked.

I went with The Bash. Most of the others, even Mania and the Royal Rumble just seemed kinda underwhelming and/or lacking.

Summerfest owned all the other PPVs.
In all seriousness though even the main event match was subpar I have to go with WM25 although I really liked Night of Champions & Backlash. Last edited by XCaliber; 12-18-2009 at 06:07 PM. |

I really liked No Way out, Wrestlemania and Summerslam. TLC was pretty good as well.
I voted for no way out. The last Elimination chamber was really great, an underrated gem in my eyes |

Wrestlemania was complete shite other than taker/hbk so i definitely wouldn't put that up as the best.

All the PPVs up to Summerslam were pretty amazing to be fair. Wrestlemania was fairly weak by Wrestlemania standards, but overall up until the whole WWE-PG thing really took effect, things were really good.
I can't say which was the best. No Way Out was great and Edge at the end was awesome. Anything Jericho and Mysterio in their IC title matches stole the show. And Summerslam was amazing just for the TLC match. |

Backlash. Everything went right in that PPV. Orton, Xtain, and Edge won the titles, Steamboat/Jericho, Jeff Hardy got even.
Wrestlemania would have been on top if Orton won the belt from HHH. Let's face it, it was what we all wanted. |

The 09 poster is just Punk with his title so perhaps you prefer the outdated one, Tedious.

Can't think of a match that topped Undertaker vs. HBK at Wrestlemania 25, though the match between Jericho and Mysterio at The Bash was great, it actually came close IMO, but not quite. Add in the Stone Cold moment, the MITB Ladder Match, and that hot ass black chick that danced in the background of the Kid Rock performance, the one with the long hair, tight blue jeans, and tight yellow shirt, damn she was hot.
Wrestlemania, easily. |

Wrestlemania since thats usually the only show the WWE is guaranteed to really put some effort into planning and long term storylines each year.
Surprise PPV result for me was Legacy going over D-X at Breaking Point. It could have been the start of making The Legacy as the new power team but wasted that momentum with the way they lost to D-X in the next PPV to end the feud. |

I ended up taking Mania out of the equation for the few of these I did cos it will usually win hands down.
One PPV match that stood out to me was Swagger v Christian at Backlash. Rewatched that the other day. Supurb little match right there. As well as those Jericho v Rey matches. In fact that has given me an idea... |
