Just ordered my 360.

Walmart has a deal online right now for the price of $350 plus shipping/tax.

120GB Elite w/wireless controller and wired headset
12 months XBL
FOUR games - Lego Batman, Pure, and then 2 of your choosing from their top new releases list - I ordered Modern Warfare 2 and Madden 10, but they had other really new games there to choose from.

Ended up being like $377 after shipping/tax or something like that, but it won't be here until the first week of January.

Pretty awesome deal, as those are still $50 games (or $60 some places), as well as the $40 XBL. Most places are just doing the $299 deal with lego batman/pure, but this is way better.

SO YEAH, I just made my XBL account and will be upgrading it to gold as soon as it gets here. GONNA PLAY SOME MW2 AND MADDEN WITH YOU NUKKAS.

Hardcore. But Hardcore Pwnography was too long so I just went with HC Pwnography. It has a very author-like ring to it, I think.

Also, am not going to have to sell my PS3 it turns out, as my school grant came through and they gave me extra money, so I basically got paid to go to school this last semester. Made sure I wouldn't have to pay any of it back, and then ordered the 360 as soon as I saw the deal today.

Be poor. Pell Grant for the win. I have no money, and am unable to make/save money at the moment. My mother pays for my schooling. She paid out of pocket for my classes and books, and then the grant came through and covered those costs 100%. They don't normally overpay. The past several semesters, I have gotten exactly as much as it cost for the semester, and sometimes just under. Last couple semesters, I still had to pay for books out of pocket. I am considered a sophomore now though, so I am eligible for more money, which is why (i think) they gave me more.

Oh, and then I sold my books back and used that money toward my 360 as well. What they paid back though for the school itself will just be used for next semester's pretty much, until I find out how much the pell grant will cover again.

So I just got my 360 today, but the games and xbox live didn't get here.

Stupid Walmart shipped it all from different locations and even providers. My 360 got here through FedEx. The games and XBL are through UPS, but they are separate and one arrived in KC on the 26th, and the other just arrived there today. Fucking ridiculous. So now I have to wait another day or two for the rest. So I have a 360 with two games I don't even want to play, and no xbox live.

So I just checked the tracking on the XBL. It has 'apparently' been transferred to the 'USPS' (US Postal Service).

That is horrible, because we have separate shipping and mailing addresses. We live a ways outside the city, and have a PO Box for our mail. We still get things shipped by UPS and FedEx straight to our house though. So.. I ordered all this shit at once, and obviously got half my order at my house already.

But, and this has happened in the past, when things are supposed to be sent to my home address and get dropped at the post office, those dickheads don't realize we have a PO Box there (MOST of the time.. they noticed ONCE) and send the packages back.

Yeah. XBL was listed as "Out for Delivery" at 9 AM this morning. Never got it, and there was nothing in my PO Box. Going to have to go in tomorrow and talk to someone. Companies do that shit all the time. Happened to me with a t-shirt around halloween. I asked them specifically if they would be sending via UPS and they said that they would. So I paid shipping for them to have UPS drop it off with USPS. Long story short? It never got here.
