Ok i have become quite obsessed with the whole screwjob situation
I was a wrestling fan up until 1994 and got back into wrestling (mainly because of steve austin) in 1998

My 2 Questions are

a) what happened on the raw after Survivor Series 97?

b) what happened on the dx ppv 97 (between owen hart and hbk)

Yea thats when he got screwed. I know Earl Hebner ran from the ring to a car in the back that was waiting for him. He went to his hotel room and locked the door.

Raw after SS, Michaels said Bret was going to show up and he would shake his hand or something. I forget. Well in the middle of the show, Bret's music hits and out comes a midget Bret Hart and DX made fun of him. Assholes. Then Jim Neidhart comes out, who was ready to leave for WCW, but the WWE wasn't about to let him go until he was humiliated. Anyway, Neidhart comes out and he defends Bret, the real one, not the midget. SHAWN says his family abondoned him or some sh** and he tells the Anvil to join DX. Anvil accepts and later on in the show it's Michaels vs Vader. Michaels wins with the help of DX and then HHH, Shawn and Neidhart hold up eachother's hands, with Neidhart in the middle. Chyna comes from behind with a low blow on Jim and DX paints WCW on his back. The End.


As for the DX PPV, if I'm not mistaken I think Owen faced HHH for the Euro Title, which Owen lost and Shamrock faced HBK for the World Title, which Shamrock lost.

That Raw you speak of was at least 2 weeks later. The Raw the night after was where Vince did the "Bret screwed Bret" interview and the crowd chanted "We want Bret" for 2 hours straight.

Sorry, wrong about the DX PPV too. HHH wrestled Sgt Slaughter on that show. Shamrock beat Michaels by DQ and then Owen Hart returned and attacked Shawn Michaels before running through the crowd.

And that is why Rob, everyone should listen to you. Dam, I should of looked it up before typing. Wow, I CAN'T believe that was 2 weeks later. I think Owen/HHH was at Mania then.

Well everything back then is a haze to most fans. I only remember it because I'm huge Bret and Owen mark (and even then I don't remember it in that detail). They did indeed do Owen vs. HHH at Mania of course after Michaels and HHH both refused to drop the European title to him and then beat him for the title when he had a broken ankle thus not to have him at Mania as a champion.
