Disappointed in Ric Flair
It's no secret that Vince McMahon bailed Flair out of tax debt by dipping into his personal bank account to lend him the money. Yet here we are years later and Flair walked out on a WWE job that reportedly paid him $500,000 per year so that he could make more short-term money by making personal appearances and investigate a possible reality television show. Then last night he showed up in TNA to try to help steal viewers away from WWE. Am I the only one here who is a little disappointed in him?

Eh, I was indifferent really. Would have loved to see him back in the WWE, but if this is what he wants to do than it is what it is.

Pro wrestling is one of the most cut throat industries there is and most involved would sell their dog and their mother to make a quick buck. Ric has whored himself out pretty much every opportunity he can since he "retired" so I'm in no way surprised but personally a little disappointed. I won't lose sleep over it or even care in a few weeks when I forget that TNA even exists.

Flair is a whore for money and the guy has absolutely no idea how to save any, so he's always strapped for cash. He'll sell out whenever he can.

Why are you guys jumping on him for being a whore for money? He left a job that allegedly paid him $500,000 a year to do this. Maybe they're paying him more, maybe they're not, but either way he probably could have gone back to that job if it was just money he was after. Maybe he feels like TNA is where he can give the most back to younger guys.

Oh please...ROH? Great wrestlers I'm sure, but no exposure. TNA has the best of both worlds in balance. It makes all the sense in the world for Flair to show up. And anyone who thought he was going to be done after WWE was just kidding themselves. Sounds to me like you're just looking for a bone to pick here.

I doubt Flair left his $500,000 WWE contract to go to ROH for the money. Adding Ric Flair's name, especially after the huge Wrestlemania send-off, was a good way for ROH to try to get more exposure.

Only now you're disappointed in Flair? Only Now? He stabbed the NWA in the back when he showed up on WWF with their belt! He has always been a whoring piece of trash. Over rated too, he bought those NWA titles, or booked himself to win so we could watch the same Flair formula matches and hear his 3 promos of doom.... for 40 years. wooooo

Financially Flair is a total fucking moron. He could have millions in his account but pissed it all away by "living the gimmick" and not being able to hold down a marriage for any significant length of time. 3 ex wives and he has to pay out around 20 grand a month.
And this is the same idiot that was starting a finance company? I can picture that, miss one payment he comes and kicks down your door (failing the kick he chops it to splinters), bounces off imaginary ropes in your living room before putting a figure four on you, miss the second month and you get his man boobs in your face. In September 2007, Flair opened a financial business called Ric Flair Finance.[74] In July 2008, Ric Flair Finance filed for bankruptcy.[75]

Yeah, I don't understand why people are upset at Flair. The dude is a free man, and can go wherever the fuck he wants for work. So he signed with the WWE's competitor? Is that a big deal? Half the guys there have worked for Vince before, and half will probably work for Vince again.

It's almost like loyalty is an illusion dreamed up by marketing and believed only by fanboys.
Almost. |

It's not like Flair has had any credibility to even protect since 91.

AJ Styles, the person who Flair's set to do a program with, couldn't be more different in terms of loyalty.
