Universe mode seems even more fucked up than last year. Even though I'm a heel on SD, with the World Title, the game keeps moving me to Raw, turning me face, and putting me into an endless fued with Michael Cole, despite the fact I've tried switching Cole to various brands / free agency.

Might just go OCD and plan out my cards in Microsoft Word and run matches in Exhibition mode.

Yeah that's kind of the problem I was having with Universe mode. I like to make my own cards top to bottom and not have to reprogram them every other match.

Create a Story mode lets you build a full PPV card, including intro/outro videos, cut-scenes, etc. I write out my cards and then book them in the game. I'm finding it much more enjoyable than the clusterfuck that is Universe mode.

Jesus! So all I had/have to do to unlock Orton's "alternate attire" (sans beard) is actually play a match involving him @ WM in Universe? That much I can do. Don't know if I'll EVER get Goldust unlocked or if I'll even bother to continue to try, as it's too much of a time sink.

It's weird that you can't get Goldust. He was the first thing I unlocked in the game, in fact on the very first card. I just played the match involving him that was setup by default and he came out right away. He didn't have a title then, do you have him with a title now? Maybe that's interfering with you unlocking it.

Maybe try winning a match that Universe sets up by default without him as a champion if you have him as one.

I kid you not. This happened to me just today. I was in Universe and was in a #1 Contender's Match. I was Wade Barrett fighting Christian and Undertaker. I got dropped BY A F*CKING VERTICAL SUPLEX!!!! Christian won the race out of the cage. Christian went on to win the World Heavyweight Title at the Rumble (I watched the match).

Beats me. Now I had Cena interrupt a match between HHH and Jack Swagger, which turned him heel in the process, but now HHH is injured...On the upside, Punk, Kidd, and Truth are all back from injury after booking matches with their rivals (despite Punk still being booked on every Raw against Del Rio in some form but now he can actually challenge him for the WWE title) so now just HHH, Miz, and Henry are hurt.

Oh and Daniel Bryan won the rumble and is going to Mania.

He's just injured on the roster sheet. He's normal when the CPU books him, but you can't book him.

Apparently you can only cash in MitB against the default belts... So if you change, say, the WWE title to the Undisputed WWE title, you can't cash in for that belt.

Go to the calendar, select a show and hit edit (it may be "view" or something else, though. Don't remember.). You can change everything from the name of the show to the belts to the brands.

That year off they had with UFC really helped them make a more complete game rather than the bunch of unfinished ideas WWE games have become.

I was thinking about this too, and while I definitely think it would help tremendously, I don't think WWE would back the idea at all. The annual release probably makes them enough money where it wouldn't really be worth it from a business standpoint.

Don't think the WWE brass cares how good the game is, as long as it sells. And you know as well as I, that no matter how many people bitch and moan, they will be there on day one the next year to buy the newest installment.

Mick Foley's flannel shirt has a section of red that can't be changed in Threads (I was planning to make variations of Mankind and Dude Love).

Batista is really no different from last year, which is fine tbh.

Savage is pretty awesome though, and the elbow drop is perfect.

I've had no serious problems at all with WWE 12 on the 360. I've heard some weird DQ problems can happen in Road to WrestleMania for the Ps3. Though I'm not surprised with the year PS3 has had that it would happen.

As of right now 133 people have downloaded my CM Punk Story mode though.

I love the in-ring announcements for the WWE/World title matches. I will def be buying WWE 13.

Sadly you can only change the colours on selected parts though some characters have quite a few you can change, I do wish it was like No Mercy in that regard however which let you change the colour and the piece itself.

An interesting thing happened to me today on this game.

Had a 6 man over the top rope battle royal in universe, and during the entrances The Miz attacked my CAW. The match started, and as usual with those cutscenes, the attacker and the victim start outside. The Miz went straight to the ring, but I was free to walk around the outside and grab weapons and throw them in the ring.

Was pretty cool to have a hardcore battle royal.

Am still really enjoying the game. I can look past the little mistakes, but had a crazy one today. Drew McIntyre came down for a triple threat with Del Rio and HHH, but before the match was attacked by....The Invisible Man....Drew proceeded to throw himself about outside the ring and then into the steps before rolling himself unconcious into the ring for the match to begin!

The only thing that really bugs me is the way the PPV's seem to have no relation to the angles. Am able to manipulate it to get really good stories going and rivalries, but they are never booked for PPV's, instead we get random matches that make no sense from the stories, only for certain stories to resume post-PPV like the PPV never happened. Just think they are missing the final step with it in some ways.

Some people have written some guides to make Universe Mode much more enjoyable. One of the biggest suggestions is to go character by character in your show roster and setup their allies/enemies.
I have done that before and it helped. It does not fix everything..but it does help.

Match #2 Decks Brodus Clay and turns heel
Match #3 Bourne vs. Punk. I made Bourne win with a sledgehammer to solidify his heel turn
Match #4 Is in the crowd during Dolph Zigglers entrance and decks him. After the match, runs out with Otunga and takes out Cena

I'd future endeavour him for that, but then Universe mode books whoever the hell it wants anyway!

Had a 20 minute match between Undertake and Macho Man.
I was Macho Man and had the upper hand for the first 9 minutes or so. From then on..the Undertake just destroyed me. I did the comeback and went for the elbow..and he fucking blocked it. Sets me up for the tombstone. Pins me near the ropes. I slide out.
He comes to get me. I get a couple of moves. Go back in. Get the elbow..only 2. He throws me out..hits me with the last ride..I almost got counted out. I come in..he goes for the chokeslam and I reverse it. Then I hit him with a small package and got the 3 count.
Fucking crazy. I thought there was no way I could win that.

I was playing yesterday, my CAW vs Cena (face vs face) for the WWE title at Summerslam. I beat Cena after a decent 20+ minute back and forth match. I finally won the title, and at the end Cena went Bret Hart/ Montreal crazy. Tore up the announce table, laid out Cole at ringside etc.

It then stated after the match that he'd turned his back on the fans, and he's been attacking me before during and after matches since, setting up a pretty cool feud.

Is there some reason why my created top rope finishers dont get announced? Is it because it happens too quick because I think thats why some of my ground finishers dont EVER get announced.
