About that, since you don't need to get bitten to turn, everyone that dies becomes a zombie, I imagine lots of people die every minute in a city as big as Los Angeles so it should definitely spread faster. Everyone that dies should infect at least a few people before getting it's brain destroyed, while people still have no idea what's going on.

I think they know that we know what's gonna happen so they're just teasing it although I felt like the first episode was paced well. Aside from the intro it went from normal to things starting to get really ominous and finally there's an actual zombie encounter that couldn't be confused as a drug induced hallucination. Since there's only 6 episodes I'm guessing we'll see panic and chaos in the next episode.

Lots of people speculating that Glenn didn't die. It was Nick's guts being torn out and Glenn fainted etc. I dunno. All sounds bullshit. Glenn was awesome, but I kinda hope he is dead just because it kinda makes a statement that nobody is safe.

Even if it was Nick getting eaten first then it would be a very hard sell to say the zombies didn't notice another fresh body on the ground, even given the old trick of being covered in gore to mask yourself.

If Glenn made it out using Nick as a decoy, it would be a very hard sell, even though everybody loves Glenn. This may be wishful speculation. What sells the death for me was Glenn's call back line calling Rick a dumbass over a radio. Walking Dead likes to have poetic foreshadows before a death that doesn't quite snap until the death actually happens (characters getting extra preachy, desperate, making a character establishing point, gaining something hopeful, making a stand, taking a heroic risk, etc). The 'dumbass' thing as well as Glenn being sold as the heart of the group more than usual kinda makes his death final.

Or maybe he jumped in the dumpster while they were eating Nick (with an admittingly tight and vague camera shot). Never say never, but it would be a very hard sell require higher suspension of belief than TWD usually asks of us.

If Glenn did survive, all that Goku-like hope for people is out the window. He really tried with Nick but some people are just lost. A theme for this season seems to be that for all the seeming irrationality that Rick ushers forth for Ricktatorship 2.0, he's almost always 100% right (which is turn validates what Shane was trying to get thru to him on the farm, and even more horrifying some of the points the Governor was making as well are validated).

With Glenn and Beth gone, Morgan and Maggie may be the new soul of the group. The priest is probably gonna harden up after witnessing more human evil. And Carl is more or less Rick-In-Training.

This only comes to mind as I have been playing The Walking Dead Telltale Series and they smear zombie guts on them for camo to walk among the dead.

that's the part that confuses me, people are also saying that Talking Dead didn't count him in with the death count montage. Perhaps a whole slew of main cast is getting killed this season and they are saving those for last. I'd like to be wrong. Glenn was starting to grow on me

Feel terrible for Carl, but at the same time this kid wielding the gun may be a fan of the earlier seasons and worked his way on set to "fiction-shoot" in an attempt to make him pay for being a crappy actor/character. So mid-season finale tonight....



Deanna going by way of slow walker bite was a surprise, thought she would have lasted a bit longer and then be torn apart in front of a crowd. Love that she acknowledged Rick's beard growing abilities when she was 'passing the torch' in him in their chat.

Eugene is still a giant pussy and it's quite frustrating, but thankfully he still has the brains. He needs to snap out of it soon, even Gabriel is chipping in with some blows, so if he can do it, so can Eugene.

Really wish Carl finished off Ron, he's such a douche. Liked the little show down the two had after the scuffle, Carl is turning into a man and telling Ron some cold hard facts.

Carol and Morgan had an interesting conflict this episode over the wolf, I knew that would be the outcome though but it hard was to root for either one over the other, especially with Morgan's recent character development.

The final moments of the episode were pretty epic, nice to see the walker guts trick still works. Deanna going out like a beast and the group starting to make their way across the sea of walkers but for it to then just finish when the little dumbass is starting to call out, urgh. At least when the show returns next year, it should go with a bang.

That last 'bonus' scene didn't add too much but it was pretty cool to be introduced to the Saviors. It will be interesting to see how intense Negan will be compared to the comic version as I doubt they will go full whack with him.

Given the circumstance it would be simpler to have Chandler tussle around a garage on cam. The woman who did stunts for Carl would probably be too easy to make out in such a tightly shot scene as well.

Incredible episode tonight, so much death and gore. Feel they could have ended on the mid season break with Carl getting shot though. Glad Michone took care of business, but the look of panic on her face was scary to see as it's something that has rarely happened before.

Pretty much my feelings exactly. Everyone kept telling me how badass of a villain Negan is in the comics and then I saw this and was like "this is the badass from the comics everyone is talking about?" Dude came off as a douchebag, but I didn't feel intimidated at all. The Governor was way more intimidating and scary as a villain. Negan, from this episode at least, feels like a middle-aged guy who is going through a midlife crisis and decided to buy a motorcycle so he could play biker.

I did mark out a little when I noticed Trevor though. He definitely put on a great performance. Honestly hope he plays a bigger role next season cause he's a much better villain thus far than Negan, and he only had a couple lines to boot lol.

As for who got the beat down, well, I feel like if they go with Glenn it'll be a letdown now. People were expecting it to begin with because of the comics, but the fact that they decided to do this cliffhanger crap is gonna fuck that all up. I mean if you were gonna go with the obvious choice why tease us? Personally my money is on Abraham or Sasha. I just don't see them going the "easy" route when they tried to make this such a big deal.

The gay dude wouldn't be a shocking enough death.

True, Abraham and Sasha did seem to have some mileage on their character development, but that is actually part of the reason I think it was one of them. They've made us fall in love with Abraham this season, and this show has a penchant for making you like a character only to take them away suddenly. However, I think Sasha could be even more likely simply because it would not only fuck with us the viewers but also with Abraham. Rather than taking away the character they made us care about they could take away everything that's made said character worth caring about. Could lead to a relapse for him, or it could lead to even more character progression as he overcomes the loss.

Eugene I feel is a little too obvious, especially with his little heroic moment there toward the end. I just don't see it being him. It wouldn't have enough impact in my eyes, not for such a big cliffhanger anyway.

Daryl is too much of a staple for the show. I can't see AMC even entertaining the idea of letting him die simply due to his appeal to the masses. He's one of the selling points of the show at this point.

Maggie would be an interesting pick, but you can clearly hear her yelling as the person taking the beating is hit. Unless the yelling is all in the person's head it physically can't be her.

Michone could be a dark horse in this. It would be a massive shock to fans, and it would make sense with the line where Negan says to cut out Carl's eye if he screams since I can't think of any reason Negan would think Carl would scream unless it was over Michone who he has a major connection with. Of course I can't think of any way Negan would know about their relationship so I'm pretty confident it's not her.

- Sophia is still alive and has some weird crush on Carl

- It was a pair of twin boys instead of 'Look at the flowers' Lizzie and Mika. The boys weren't as nuts as Lizzie but one did kill the other to live forever or some shit. It was again Carl who killed the crazy one.

Was over there today for work and they're already transforming the town. Businesses are are hanging bloody sheets in windows and they say they'll have flipped cars and a crashed plane. Should be pretty cool.
