Jesus, that was pretty brutal. Glad Glenn went, seeing as he was the one who got it in the comics, was also glad to see they kept the brutality of his death. Sad to see Abe go though, i really enjoyed his character, but as soon as Denise got the arrow in the eye i knew he would go sooner rather than later. Wasn't expecting both but glad they went that way.

Was convinced an arm would be lost as well, but that could still be coming.

Tense episode to say the least. Whilst Abraham's and Glenn's deaths were certainly memorable, I kinda wanted to see more out of it. After Glenn's first shot where his eye is popping out, I wanted to see it like in the comic, with the second shot having his jaw completely destroyed etc.

Aw well. Minor complaint. Pettiness more than anything else. Great episode! So glad this is back!

Obviously from watching the little bit where Rick is on top of the RV thinking about Negan killing everyone if he doesn't comply it is clear that the rumor of them filming a death sequence for everyone was legit. It made me think though how funny it would have been if some of the unused death scenes were leaked on social media before the episode. Like say a video of Daryl and Maggie getting wrecked by Negan instead only for it to not be legit. Would have made for epic shenanigans.

I just watched season 7 over the last two days and it was the worst pile of shit I think I have ever seen. It's easily the fastest a good show has turned completely to shit before.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is playing a character that has been built up for an entire season and now we finally see him in action and it's just one declaratory sentence after another with some really fucking lazy sass thrown in. That doesn't pass for charisma in my book and the gay ass way he throws those "Ho-lee shit" declarations around every time he meets someone new or gets annoyed is one of the worst choices in bad acting I have ever seen.
if they were going to go that way with the character then they needed someone amazing who could go big with it because JDM is below terrible.

This isn't just something failing to live up to what was promised…this is something going out of its way to not be the thing it built itself up to be.
It's as if the entire show was taken over by the production team of Relic Hunter or Xena Warrior Princess. Ridiculous characters would be fine in moderation but the homeless folk that talked nonsense and the king with the bloody tiger were shit! This is just the sort of thing you would see on a crappy sic fi channel show back in the very early 2000's... it doesn't look or feel the same at all now.

Not even close to the most devastating villain. The Governor holds that title because the Governor was a full character with charisma, a murky past and a hell of a dark side and he provided a legitimate threat to the camp.
Negan is just pointless.
It's not even bleakness or lack of hope or anything…he's just a really shitty villain that should have been played a hell of a lot better by a far better actor.

Negan is not how you design or portray villains. Negan would have been far better served being played by Henry Rollins seeing as he's a charismatic badass that can actually act and the entire character is based on him anyway.

Maybe Walking Dead just doesn't want to go on any more. I could understand that. it has become laughably bad.

I am no reader of the comics but I think many of the television show fans want explanations as to the cause of the Zombie Apocalypse and some sort of final culmination to the show.

Plus the show seems to be on a repeat. An endless cycle of find safe place to stay then discover a powerful enemy, insert Walker hoard here or there, overcome the odds and but have safe place smashed to bits and go on the run to find the next safe spot, powerful enemy, overcome the odds but end up going on the run for the next safe place, is just played out.

For some reason I feel like the ratings are just going to go south and tank and the show gets dropped without any sort of big final payoff to the television viewer to enjoy.

I didn't know up until the previous day this was to be the finale, wasn't well advertised but I knew it was coming. It felt like once more a very average season which picked up in the last two episodes or so for what was a very dull affair.

I did suspect Eugene to pull a double-turn, but it played out well in the end. I don't quite know the fascination over Carl though, why he's the selling point to peace between Negan and Rick - Sure, the lad had balls which Negan respected, but i'm sure he's met hundreds without growing an attachment to enemies.

The introduction of the women at the very end felt like a wasted moment, why introduce them throwing Molotov Cocktails when The Saviours were beaten without their assistance.

What I am interested in seeing is how this is going to play out with Maggie, she clearly has a vendetta against Rick and co now due to saving Negan, looks like they're setting her up for a heel turn - But with Daryl being present, I can't see him turning his back on Rick.

Gonna miss Simon though, good shit.

Sadly it seems like Judith and Rick are safe. Still mad they pussed out and didn't kill Judith at the end of the prison story. She adds nothing to the show. And it feels like she only appears 3 times a season to remind people that this huge drain on resources is there. A huge drain that can contribute nothing to the community. Judith is like Merc,but with Judith we know that one day she won't need diapers. And I doubt Judith will ever have sex with a jello snack pack.

And the last two seasons, felt like people arrived at exactly the right time way too often. Like hell, had they stopped to take one extra piss, half the cast would be dead.
