The original date for Revolution was originally speculated to have a rumored big boxing event planned which they wanted to avoid and the same for why they didn't bother holding it last night because of UFC's big show.

Some non-spoiler stuff for tonight's show in regards to the cinematic match involving Sting and the mysterious new signing Paul Wight teased last week.

In another note for tonight's show, the street fight between TNT Champion Darby Allin and Sting vs. Team Taz members Brian Cage and Ricky Starks has already been taped cinematic style. SI's Justin Barrasso said he was told the match was a "massive success" that "highlights Sting while ensuring he worked in as safe of an environment as possible; allowed Ricky Starks and Brian Cage to have some star-making moments; and gave Darby Allin - who had a chance to apply his film school background - more chances to be a daredevil."

Completely separate from that situation, is the surprise signing for AEW Revolution. Talent are being trusted with the information, and many of them know who it is, but haven’t even told close family, or friends. Ahead of the reveal, Fightful was told that the signing was “shocking, in a good way.”

Christian would be interesting. I think I'd prefer to see a jacked up TRTed Angle vs the major AEW young guys than Christian though. If Angle is healed up and gassed to the gills then I could see him back in a TNAesque form/quality. Obviously the WWE reboot didn't go well for a number of reasons. I believe he is able to turn his head now which is huge for him and I think his passion is evident. Of the choices that aren't Lesnar or Punk I think Angle could be a good choice. I mean he's a big fucking deal, certainly an all time great. Hopefully if it is him, he's gassed up and really to go.

Super reliable. They have customer support too which is awesome. It’s like 70 bucks for 6 months. It had every live event that’s on tv. 100s of channels, every sports broadcast, every UFC, wrestling and boxing PPV as well. The quality is pretty impressive. I have fibe op cable, but I have the box for PPVs and NHL, NBA and NFL packages, it’s like 300 bucks just for the NFL, fuck that. I would definitely look into it. I’ve had my box for like 3 years now and haven’t had any issues really other than the odd one here or there. It also comes loaded with apps to stream pretty much everything.

Ditching the card suits setup for entrances was a much needed improvement for these Casino style battle royales.

The original idea had some potential on paper but every time AEW did it, just made the entrants feel mostly irrelevant or rushed.
