It could be fun. I'll smile if Steamboat gives a deep arm drag to Jericho. It won't be a five star classic but it's been a fun story line and the culmanation should be good. Especially if Jericho wins and is able to say he beat 3 hall of famers at once.

I think everyone was really hoping Austin or Hogan would be coming back. Honestly, I would have preferred a 1-on-1 match, but this does make more sense since these guys are old now and should need extra help to beat Jericho. But the problem with that is, it's not really exciting if 3 old guys barely beat Jericho, and it's still not exciting if Jericho just barely beats a gang of 3 old guys.

Warrior/Hogan

Yea, normally I would praise giving time to build for Mania, but christ, they've shown they are uncapable of maintaining interest and progresing with thier storylines.

I argued this with CSL the other week and I guess they are proving they can't maintain thier angles

Orton/HHH is holding fairly decently, but if Orton doesn't score a point against HHH next week (or this week on Smackdown) the air is going to run out of that too.

point taken. I will say this. I think having less TV time and only 4 PPV's a year really really helped the product progress back then in my opinion

they seriously had me so interested in that match right when Orton hit the RKO on Steph. I thought we would continue to see Orton just attack HHH's family/freinds/buddies right up to Mania. But instead they went the classic and predictable HHH way. Let's have Orton run from HHH and then get his ass kicked when HHH catches him. 3 on 1 should have some meaning to it. I don't get it. what point are they trying to get across to the audience?

Only way this can be salvaged is if Orton says the IED is bullshit and he loves to do what he does.

Then HHH can chase him around some more, pose, chase again

RatedGSuperstar
03-17-2009, 12:41 PM
I think it's been implied that the IED is bullshit and was just a way for him to protect himself from being fired before he won the Rumble. The way he half-heartedly read that statement prepared by the "lawyers" led me to interpret that way, but maybe I'm wrong.

But yeah, the way they've been booking him lately is ridiculous. He's gone from putting Shane in the "hospital" after two straight nights of ass kickings to being afraid to climb a cage or coordinate an attack on a guy holding a sledgehammer when he has the numbers in his favor. The way this is going, I almost would've preferred to see Cena/Orton (if Cena had retained the World title) or at least Edge/Orton with Orton acting as a tweener for the feud.

I still believe that these two will put together a great 20-minute main event for WrestleMania (like I've said before, Orton can be lazy but main eventing the biggest WrestleMania in history and working again with HHH should be enough to keep him from getting lazy). The build has just been getting stale. At least with Stephanie making an appearance last night, maybe we'll get Vickie out of the interim GM role and Steph back as GM. But even that seems to be ass backwards, since it's usually the heel that has the GM in their back pocket, not the face.

I was hoping for a big name like Austin or Hogan to face Jericho at Mania along with most of you, but realistically I didn't have my hopes up. This handicap match won't be bad I don't think. I don't think it's even about the match, it'll be very short and then a Wrestlemania moment afterward featuring the legends, Rourke, and possible Austin coming out for a stunner, which I'd be happy with :y:
