It's alot more than those 3, they are just the ones currently named.

The UFC could be deemed in violation of antitrust laws and be pretty much hit with a financial wrecking ball.

I don't think the fighters will win. The whole lawsuit is saying that the UFC kept them from making the most money by restricting sponcers and shit. If they could win this then the NFL, NBA, MLB, and pretty much every major league sports fed are absolutely fucked. The same thing keeping those fighters from making the extra money is the same reason why Cam Newton can't wear Under Armor during NFL games.

Going further into that line of thinking, sure Zuffa bought up Pride, Strikeforce, WEC, Etc but there are still other organisations out there. Melendez shopping himself to Bellator, who is owned by Viacom and has been known to throw money at named fighters, kinda destroys the idea that Cung Le had to fight in the UFC because he had no where to go make money.

Absolute bullshit claim and it's sad it's even a thing.

I want Rothwell. Met him before and he is a real nice guy.

Theres also this guy Curtis Blaydes on the card and I have trained with him a few times. I expect him to win, but he tends to fold a bit if theres too much pressure put on him, but thats from a wrestling perspective and the guy hes fighting is french so... no wrestling there.

That Hendo fight was amazing....I'm a moderate UFC fan at most, but am I the only guy in the world that likes Bisping? I've liked him ever since his debut on TUF (the first season I watched) and he's one of the few fighters (alongside GSP) who I will go out of my way to catch their fights live, if not find them online elsewhere afterwards....I can't really explain it, it's not his style or personality that draws me in, but there's something deep inside that makes me like him....

The big news of the day revolves around talk of a UFC sale. We have an updated story on it in the current issue of the Observer. At this point, there is no indication a sale has gone through but the bidding period is coming to a close with two new lead bidders, a joint bid of WME/IMG and the Dalian Wanda Media Group of China which reportedly includes the Kraft Family that owns the New England Patriots, and a group bid of a number of investors from China and Hong Kong. The bids are in the $4 billion range, give or take a little in either direction.

According to reports, UFC is getting sold for around $4.2 billion

Jeremy Botter just reported a UFC deal with WME/IMG for $4.2 billion was accepted. As noted, the bids were finalized on Thursday and the two leading bidders, WME/IMG and China Media Capital, were told UFC would get back to them within a few days. So from a timing standpoint, I was expecting this at any time. At this point we have not been able to independently confirm this story but WME/IMG was the favorite for the past week. The story lists Garry Cook as the probable new CEO in the spot formerly held by Lorenzo Fertitta. Cook in that spot had also been expected. The story states Dana White will stay and will also have some ownership interest.

For some comparisons, if the WWE were to be sold right now, they'd be worth in the $1.2 billion to $1.45 billion range according to the Observer.

Jon Jones removal from UFC 200 ended up hurting everyone else in the card in terms of pay percentages. Seems like instead of boosting certain fighters pay for their new spot on the card, either UFC is just paying them the same amount as before or UFC already expecting lower buys for the event.

Brock Lesnar was scheduled for a public workout this morning. He came, didn't work out, and talked to media. He said he didn't care that he was now in the main event but said Jon Jones was unprofessional. If Lesnar was fighting on a percentage, and he most likely was, Jones hurt him in the pocketbook as he did with all the headliners getting a percentage.

It’s official.

After more than three years away from the sport, former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will make his return to the Octagon against current UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping.

The announcement was made by UFC president Dana White on ESPN’s “SportsCenter.”

St-Pierre, who last fought at UFC 167 in 2013 against Johny Hendricks, was engaged in an extremely long and tentative negotiation process with the UFC. The two sides finally struck a deal last week and the speculation regarding who the French-Canadian’s first opponent would be upon his return began.

There was some thought that a megafight between St-Pierre and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor could be in play. However, with McGregor currently chasing after a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, White said that particular fight was “not even close” to being made. Instead, St-Pierre will bump up in weight for the first time in his career and face Bisping.

“Georges St-Pierre is always in shape and takes care of himself physically so we’ll see what happens,” White said of St-Pierre’s long layoff and return to a higher weight class. “Everybody wants to take a shot at Michael Bisping. They think he’s beatable. Obviously, Georges St-Pierre is no different. He’s going to step up and try to take his 185-pound title.”

There’s currently no date scheduled for the fight although some signs point to UFC 213 on July 8 in Las Vegas. The July pay-per-view is always heavy on top tier talent and coincides with the company’s International Fight Week. The past few years have seen Conor McGregor, Anderson Silva, Brock Lesnar and a host of others fill up that July date.

It appeared that Bisping would defend his title against top contender Yoel Romero. However, with a big money fight against Georges St-Pierre, it looks like Romero will have to get back in line and hope to face the winner.
