Nah, back when I got knee surgery, I spent a lot of time laid up, just creating guys in SvsE 11'. Made like a dozen cruiserweights. Took time and patience, but it wasn't hard.

Servers are lightning fast. Pretty great.

Also, I dunno why they showed that crappy ankle lock for Ken Shamrock in the trailers, because his real one is in there and it's fucking awesome.

This.

Played almost every match for the first two months without changing much and havent gotten anything other than cutscenes that were in 12 (even though i have everything in AE mode unlocked). Anyone know how to get stories going other than just random interferences? Still like the updates they gave to the mode to far but it seems far from complete.

I have to insert my female CAW in matches just to make her relavent... It's just like the WWE.

i have been in many 'feuds' but none actually have a storyline.

tried to interfere in matches with certain people but nothing came out of that. even now when i have the title there is still no 'storyline' feud.

Attitude mode plays really well, might just be in comparison to last years RTWM, which was fucking terrible, or rose tinted glasses but its been really fun, could see them following it on in next years like Vito said.

And Shamrocks happy face is kinda lol, same as them blurring Austins fingers when he flips someone off.

Last year's RTWM mode was at least 50% handicap backstage brawls, where the AI spams running grapple moves and you get irish-whipped so much you are practically slingshoted around the sun.

Yeah, it was shit. WWE 12 didn't captivate me as long as Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 did with the creating of story modes. I think it was because it was such a pain in the dick load things into the servers.

So far so great for WWE 13. Everybody should get it once theres a price drop if you're watching your budgets.

Must say that the game is pretty epic. Only really messed around in Attitude mode (just finished DX) and a few exhibitions. Seems that the game is getting the balance right finally for AI. It feels challenging (as long as Im not trying to end the match ASAP) for once instead of feeling cheap with overuse of reversals on default. The catch reversals are awesome. So far only encountered a crossbody to a slam tho. Haven't touched Universe but I'll probably play it like I usually do and that's playing it when I want the game to decide what match I play.

Absolutely loving the little touches in Attitude mode. Like HBK having all his different colored attires. Also marking out over Attitude mode every match. Even matches I thought I had forgotten I'm like "ohhh yeaaah".

I marked like a bitch when I saw in match creator that both the blue and black barred cages are in.

I do feel this will have much longer life than the last few WWE games for me. Roster aside, it just feels more fun for some reason. More polished.$

Anybody else notice the moment of silence in Attitude Era mode commentary not only when you know they’re saying “WWF”, but also for the word “Federation”? Seems kinda gay since I always thought the restriction from the 2002 lawsuit only said they could no longer call themselves WWF or use that anagram. Never heard about them not being able to use “World Wrestling Federation” if it was in its original context in the pre-WWE days.

Also, why the fuck (early on) do they use the block logo sans the F? I know why the scratch logo is like that obviously, but I thought they were supposed to be able to use the old block WWF logo without restriction.

I do find it weird that it's in commentary. Yes, there are a few instances of the original audio being in the game, but it's mostly rerecorded with "WWF" or "Federation". But it's also rerecorded as "WWE" a lot.

Though maybe they did that knowing about the settlement proceedings and it just wasn't settled by final editing.

Ah, good point Xero. Hadn’t thought of that. Mainly because so little has happened since early-mid 2002 when in May WWF became WWE, I guess I just figured back then that the lawsuit was far from settled before hearing news recently that they were still working out final details ( ).

I only ever noticed the lack of intro. I'll have to listen to it closely some time. I still haven't made my CAW yet which is usually the 1st thing I do every year. Attitude Era mode was awesome.

The hats are emphasized for Steph's. I noticed on some episode of Smackdown many moons ago. I'm a total geek about little details with the music. Remixes, remasters, added lyrics and all that. Jim Johnston is kind of a god to me.

Probably the best settings I've found for a nice long match but usually ending with a finisher are epic (duh), slow meter build and high finisher damage.

Still get the odd CPU kickout after your first finisher with high ranked guys, but that's half the fun.

Triple H used it during the Owen Hart Tribute show. That's the only time I noticed it, though. I definitely prefer the "My Time" version with the vocals and all that.

I caved. Just heard way too many good things about the gameplay, servers, and Attitude Era mode. Not like I would have saved more than like $20 waiting for the price to drop anyway.

Haven't even started AE mode yet. I took my time in setting up my Universe. Split the Attitude Era roster in half and currently have a 4 brand setup now: Raw, SD, Attitude Raw, and Attitude SD. I only have like 16 guys per brand, so I can just bounce around show to show and pick random guys to create storylines for rather than doing 20 matches a week.

Haven't really noticed any of the wonky cutscene booking Hasney mentioned...but then again I haven't seen very many cutscenes at all. The default matchups are incredibly repetitive. Cena vs. Brock has main evented every single Raw. And over on SD I get Hunico vs. DiBiase in a remarkable match every week. I even play the Hunico/DiBiase matches hoping something will actually happen, but it never does.

Also, a minor gripe I suppose since I'm probably in the minority of guys who still do CPU simmed matches on occasion...but the OMG moments have pretty much fucked CPU simming. The CPU rarely tries to finish the match off when they have a shot, instead they nearly always dismantle the announce table and try to do the table break spot. It's like they programmed the AI to go out of their way to use this new feature that they hyped.

Gameplay is much improved from past years though, and that's really what drew me in.
