Works for them, it's how they won Euro 2004. It's no fun to watch but I don't know why the commentators are moaning, it's nothing new.
Yes the objective in those games was to avoid defeat, tonight with 20 minutes to go a goal would have put them into the next round and they still just resolutely defended like pricks before Argentina broke them down.
