Anyone who has watched the sox knows Clement has had a horrible 2nd half and his delivery has been off since getting hit in the head, plus you can steel at will and the White Sox play small ball. I must admit, the Teck but was a nice suprise/move and I wonder if Millar didn't get out at 3rd if they might have kept the rally going. That being said, the pitching for the White Sox doesn't get easier, but the flip side is the Sox pitching gets much better. Wells, Wakefield & Schilling. I figured sox take it 3-1, and the 1 loss being one of the two in Chicago, and it being Clement doesn't suprise me. Sox bounce back tomorrow and it's a best 2/3 and the sox have 2 of those at home. that being said, putting up all those runs is a huge ego boost for the White Sox and should give them a lot of confidence. Gonna be fun! |

The White Sox aren't afraid of the knuckle and have hit Wakefield very hard the last few matchups. Schilling is not the Schilling from last year. He has the grit and toughness but will that be enough? He might not even see action in the 05 playoffs. |

If you're going to predict, you look at what's most probably, not what's "possible" Wells has been strong the last month and is used to "pressure" actually, seems to do better under it. Wakefield has been the team ace all year and has had like 1 bad outing in a month or two. Schilling has been hot/cold but does better at Fenway. Red Sox take today and 2 at home. Then again, 2yrs ago they droped the first 2 and took 3 in a row from Oakland, so anything is possible. (and no, The White Sox don't have better pitching then Oakland did). Side Note: BCWWF - Media Bias, I like Joe Buck, Timmy is clearly a yankee butt swab. That being saidm it's not a east coast bias for the media, it's TV markets, plain and simple. As for the Sox getting all this hype? Yeah, when they play the yanks it sells and also, they are the defending champs! (small detail you seem to forget) Both reasons for extra coverage. That being said, if you watch the coverage you see the shape the pitching, especially then pen is in and understand they don't have the best chances unless someone comes up huge. While I still stick by my LA pick, none of these 4 would shock me to go to the WS and well, then lose to Hou or STL. |
