I don't think you understand what I'm saying.

-The Video Game industry is a hot topic in the media these past few years. It just gets bigger and bigger.
-Evolution has always been a hot topic for debate.

In April 05, The Sims had shipped over 52 million copies in 17 languages. By that same time, Sims 2 had already sold over 4 million. (That was only 6 months after release)

A company with this magnitude of success is going to draw attention. If it were just some nobody company that came out with Spore, I doubt it would make a ripple in the world. But coming from a company with such world-wide success, it is bound to attract attention.

Even Jack Thompson was targetting Sims 2 for supposed nudity. (complete bull, but he still tried to go with it.. I'm sure you've read the article, or can find it.) If he can target them for something as non-existant and stupid as what he was saying, other groups can target them for their evolution game. It will be an instant multi-million seller, no doubt about it. With that, it's going to attract all kinds of attention. Both wanted and unwanted.
