How is this match blowing the load on Jericho vs. Orton?
Let's face it; this isn't Hogan vs. Rock or even Batista vs. Cena. This is just a match. Is it a match between two of the top main names in wrestling today? Absolutely. But it's still just another main event caliber match in a whole series of main event caliber matches that could possibly take place in the next few months (Jericho vs. Michaels, Jericho vs. Edge, Jericho vs. Kennedy, Jericho vs. Triple H, Jericho vs. Umaga). If it weren't this, it'd be Jericho vs. some upper mid-carder, and everyone would be saying that it's a waste of Jericho's return feud to wrestling. And weren't people complaining that Jericho didn't return at Taboo Tuesday or No Mercy to take the WWE Championship? The current scenario gives us a World Title contest with the WWE Champion defending against the returning Jericho, and in that light, it only makes Jericho look like more of a realistic main event star - something the WWE is desperately lacking. There really wasn't a better way to go than Jericho vs. Orton. It was the best way to bring Jericho back into the fold without tarnishing his name or making him look bush-league. And honestly, who the fuck wants to see Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton as the main event of WrestleMania anyways? It's sub-par in comparison with what we COULD see (HBK vs. Jericho, as one example), and Orton would just rest-hold the whole match. |

Save Us makes just as much sense as Y2J did....
None. Not a shot at Jericho, but it's true. Unless Jericho starts berating the product for how shitty it's become, and swears he'll save us by making it better, I don't see it happening. Personally, I'd love to see Jericho beat Orton, and hold the title until Cena comes back. I'd then have Jericho sorta snap on Cena, going on rants about how he's been trying to save the fans from the mediocrity of the WWE, and CENA is the root of the problem. Have him just berate Cena left and right. Have Cena be the "posterboy" and have Jericho be the somewhat disillusioned "savior", and let the fans decide who to cheer for, and run with it. They won't do it, but it could be good. Knowing WWE though, they'll ignore who the fans cheer and boo, and just go with whatever plan they want. |

Best bet is Jericho gets screwed, and has to work his way back to the title with the royal rumble or a number one contender fued.
At some point, I'd love to see Jericho fueding with McMahon over his return. I mean, from a kayfabe standpoint, he got fired and just came back like he owned the place. And McMahons character is a control freak, and Jerichos comeback was unexpected and unnaproved. Jerichos a face, McMahons a heel. They both have huge egos It'd work excellently If I had the book, this is the storyline I'd actually be working right now, with Jericho having to earn his place on Raw and earn a shot at the WWE title by McMahons evil standards since he was fired for failing to win it last time. They could have had Orton fued with someone else for the time being. The Armageddon and Rumble ppv title matches are usually a throw away before the mania build anyways. I don't think this is being handled perfectly, but it makes sense. Chris Jericho didn't return and then get handed a shot, in kayfabe terms. He demanded a shot, but then again, shouldn't he? If I returned wanting the WWE Championship, and I knew I was good enough to win it, I'd probably demand a shot, too.
What they're doing, is having Jericho goad Orton into the match. He's made fun of him, call him out several times on it, and now he's getting involved in his matches. Randy Orton has realised that Chris Jericho is a thorn that needs to be dealt with, and he's granted Jericho the match. In some ways, it really makes sense for Orton to want to face Jericho sooner rather than later, as Jericho hasn't been in a big match for two years. I don't know where the WWE is going from here. Chris Jericho should be kept strong, but I don't know if now is the time to put the WWE Championship on him. Personally, I'd go with Jericho winning the match, only for Vince McMahon to make the match null and void on RAW, because he's the boss, loves Randy Orton, and doesn't think Jericho earned his place on the roster. Of course, Jericho gets pissed, and enters the Royal Rumble. He really should win that match, or the alleged Elimination Chamber at No Way Out (which I don't think is the best idea to be holding...wait a while before you bring that match back). Chris Jericho really should win the 2008 Royal Rumble Match. |

It may be blowing the load a bit early, but I doubt anyone's expecting a title change. I predict Jericho wins via DQ, there's no other logical outcome really.
Still, Jericho in a WWE Title match on PPV = Enough for me to stay up till 4am watching Armaggedon. |

The entire thing seems forced now. If Cena was still around, they whole savior thing would make more sence, and I'm guessing they were originally gearing it towards that. Then Cena got injured once the gears really started going. So it seems like they just slapped some bullshit together about Jericho saving us from Orton or something.

Also, how does Jericho just get a title match? All you have to do now is make fun of Santino and win a match against, them show every cookie monster and bam you are #1 contender?
Also, as much as it pains me to say this, it has to be said. Jeff Hardy should be the #1 contender right now. |

Yeah, had it been Cena Jericho would have actually had something to save us from. Cena was unbeatable, Jericho could have finally been the one to finally end that.

The biggest problem with Armageddon, is how they are going to go about booking the finish to the match. They can't really put the WWE Title on Jericho this early (not because it's early, capitalise while it's hot; but as a top babyface, Jericho should be on the chase heading into WrestleMania), but they can't have Orton go over and cut off Jericho's credibility, either. A disqualification ending is a possibility, but how many of them have we seen recently? I'd personally rehash the classic Jericho angle. It's been seven years, which is the length of time Jim Cornette gave as appropriate to start reusing ideas. The classic Jericho angle I am referring to, is the title win, followed by the reversed decision. Next week, have Chris Jericho host the returning Highlight Reel, with Ric Flair as the guest. Jericho reminds Ric (in case he had forgotten) that last week, Flair pinned the WWE Champion, which puts him in line for #17. Jericho says that seeing as he will be winning the WWE Championship at Armageddon, Jericho would be honoured to give Flair a title shot...and unfortuantely also be the guy to get the honour of retiring Flair (with just a little bit of hunger in his voice). Flair declines Jericho's challenge, and when Jericho asks why, Flair says that he's the dirtiest player in the game, and he didn't get to be known as such by being stupid! WOOOO! He doesn't want to get in the ring with Jericho right now, because it's too much of a gamble, because Jericho is as good as anyone he has ever seen. Vince McMahon then comes out, and says that Ric Flair will be retired, because quite frankly, he doesn't like Flair. He didn't like it that he had to once call him an equal when Flair owned half of World Wrestling Entertainment. He doesn't like that he wants to be a constant in this business. The only constant in this business is Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Hulk Hogan...gone, Stone Cold Steve Austin...gone, The Rock...gone. Vince McMahon...still here. Soon: Ric Flair...gone. Jericho then stands up for Flair, calls Mr. McMahon "Vince McMahon, Jr....senior" and tells Vince that he doesn't think it is approate that he crashes the return of the Highlight Reel. This was meant to be between himself and Flair. Vince then tells Chris Jericho that he is beginning to regret allowing Jericho to come back. Jericho can then tell Vince that he's beaten Shane McMahon around when Shane owned WCW. He has a problem with his sleazy, trashbag, bottom-feeding ho of a daughter...and slept with her a few times! But in all his years of being in a company where the Chairman throws his weight around more than he should, he never had a particular problem with Vince, and then he gets right in Vince's face, and tells him "You do not want to make an enemy out of me." Vince then backs up, and begins to ridicule Jericho. "Oh, right, because you don't need this job! You've got...your movie career! You've got that singing show were you were the first voted out! You've got Fozzy!" Jericho then tells Vince to get out of the ring, or he'll put him in a wheelchair. Vince says that Jericho wouldn't dare. Y2J then gives Vince a double-leg takedown, and turns him over into the Walls of Jericho, but then Randy Orton runs out, for the save, and Jericho breaks the hold, as Ric Flair nails Randy with lefts and rights, and then they toss the WWE Champion. Vince McMahon is retreating up the ramp as Jonathan Coachman is out to help his boss stand, and Vince announces Flair and Jericho facing Orton and...Coach (it seems like something the WWE would do)! At Armageddon, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton have a good match, which ends when Jericho flies from the second rope with a flying variant of The Codebreaker. Jericho then gets the cover for three, and his second WWE Championship! Pyros go off, and streamers fall, as Jericho celebrates to close the show. On RAW, Jericho comes out and lets us know how good it is to once again be the WWE Champion. Vince McMahon then comes out, and runs through a list of technically illegal maneuvers Jericho used during his match at Armageddon, and says that it is unbecoming of a WWE Champion, and reverses the decision at Armageddon, and announces that Randy Orton is still WWE Champion. Vince says that Jericho will never...eeeeeeeeeeeeever, get another title shot as long as he has anything to say about it. The next week, Jericho comes out for the Highlight Reel, and runs through the McMahons, and how he hates them all. Wrong. There is one McMahon he does not hate. He introduces us to the CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, Linda McMahon. Linda comes to the ring, and in her two-tone voice, announces that the Board of Directors does not agree with Vince reversing the decision, but they cannot completely override him (or some shit like that), but they can give Jericho a place in the Royal Rumble Match. Jericho wins that, and goes on to WrestleMania. |

Noid, seriously. Seriously now Noid, seriously. No one reads those novels you write. So any valid points you may make are completely lost. Plus you never make valid points.
