Har Har.
![]() I knew I was going to get some smart ass response to that comment. .The point I was trying to make, was that atleast Orton wasn't "generic" once he joined Evolution. He eventually developed a DISTINCT identity, that allowed him to make a connection with the crowd. Deny it all you want, but the guy was over BIG TIME when he defeated So far - I haven't seen ANYTHING out of Cody Rhodes....and he's been on the show for a few months now (or longer). Being Hardcore Holly's bitch (and sucking his penis backstage) won't get you over with the fans. Right now - the WWE has done very little to get Rhodes over. If the guy is too green (and isn't worthy of a much), then put him back in the minors. Dibiase and DH Smith have also been way too "generic" thus far IMO. Heck - the guys from the Spirit Squad were newbies back in 06', but they atleast developed an identiy. |

I don't see Rhodes doing much of anything... Cody has some huge shoes to fill.
Randy Orton didn't have that big of shoes to fill aside from being third generation. DH and Ted Jr.--- They are in the middle of an average wrestling watcher's eyes. THE POINT- Cody's father- Former World Champ Randy- Cowboy Bob never won the big one DH- Dad never won the big one, h/e huge midcard draw...POTENTIAL like Randy Ted Jr.- Same as DH I see those two doing something. |

If you judged a second generation guy by his father's success, then Scott Putski would be Hall of Fame bound, Deuce would be selling out Madison Square Garden and Erik Watts would be a legendary name in the business.
Equally, the Rock would have been a mid card mainstay, Bret Hart a local territory star and Randy Savage a relative nobody. |

I'm not denying it at all. Orton was the shit in 2004. Great matches, good promos, over with the crowd (until he turned face)... Unfortunately, it seems 2004 was also his peak.

Teddy Hart would be one of the top 5 workers in that company if he signed tomorrow. I don't give a fuck about his attitude either, I'd have him on my team any day.
Plus anyone who knocks out CM Punk is always gonna be in my cool book. |

I'm excited for the Next Generation stable...DiBiase, DH, Cody, and I'm thinking we'll see Deuce drafted to Raw next week and he'll join, where it's revealed he's Snuka's son. I can see Afa Jr. getting a call-up too at some point.

Yeah, I will rephrase that...Ted Sr. was a big draw in the Main Event, but HE NEVER WON THE BIG ONE. That is what I meant to say.

Who gives a shit if he never won "THE BIG ONE"? So you're saying if the offspring of Jake Roberts, Andre The Giant, Roddy Piper, Scott Hall, Arn Anderson... any number of top tier guys... got into the business, they'd be worthless because Daddy was never World champion??

Ah jeez:
-- There are, or were, rumors going around saying that Ted DiBiase's mystery partner at Night of Champions was going to be DH Smith. However, the two haven't been training together, and what with Smith's move to the SmackDown brand in the Supplemental Draft earlier today, now it definitely doesn't look like it's happening. Additionally, there doesn't appear to be anyone else on the radar for the role from developmental nor the main roster. This is only speculation, but the best bet for the mystery partner looks to be Cody Rhodes after turning on Hardcore Holly. |

It would be pretty god damn awesome if Cody was pushed into a situation where he had nothing to lose by his choice. It would also be *gasp* pretty innovative to have Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes (c) vs Td DiBiase Jr and Cody Rhodes. Cody doesn't even have to choose between Title and $$; he gets both if he goes with Jr. and possibly nothing if he doesn't.
Also, there was a pretty forgettable feud between DiBiase and Dusty back in 90/91, mostly remembered for Dustin's first WWF appearances and the end of Virgil as a significant figure in the WWF. Just a good squaring off between the two would be worth a watch. |

Dibiase: ...Listen, Dusty, I couldn't understand you 20 years ago and I don't understand you now. Seriously, how am I supposed to work with this??? |

I am not a big fan of Cody Rhodes being DiBiase's partner. Rhodes turning and joining the stable is fine, and I am all for that, but I think Rhodes should fight with Holly at Night of Champions, lose, then defect to the winning team in the rematch. He then becomes a mid-card singles guy in the group.
To be honest, I'm not feeling this mid-card stable. None of the guys in it seem like really great workers. Ted DiBiase has potential, but he's still apparently really green. Cody is good, but who else is there? Afa? Jimmy Snuka? I'm just not feeling it right now. Personally, I'd go with JBL being Ted DiBiase's partner, them winning the World Tag Team Championship, and then DiBiase putting together a stable when there is heat on them. |

Keep in mind, when Evolution formed, Orton and Batista were not big time stars. They were both guys with tons of potential, but they were green guys being put with the top guy in the company. To their credit, and to Hunter and Ric's, they got over.
Same 'could' happen here if they put the group with a top level guy; Orton being the logical choice. By doing that, maybe they can step up and get over. However, I'm not against the idea of a mid card stable. The mid card is usually kinda dull, and by mid card, I mean the guys who rarely get on PPV, but get regular spots on RAW. These guys can fill that void by making the mid card somewhat interesting. I'm interested to see what happens with it. |

Honestly, Dibiase seems like he would be the leader of the group since he is masterminding the partner. But hwo do you have a leader be a tag champ? I dont think this will be a group, not yet at least. Cody will turn heel and we will have a new 2nd Generation TAg team champs. It will then be dropped in 3 months.

When are you going to understand that he does. And the reason is very, very simple - lack of up and coming talent. There aren't 5 more talented guys in the world than this man and the fact they have signed him like 1934 times proves they know it. They just go through their normal "we like everyone to be like robots" bullshit to stop people like him getting over. His last name alone is enough of a rep for him.

Teddy is a disgrace to the Hart name.
Someone should give him an impromptu workout that results in him getting the ever loving shit stretched out of him. It'd do him wonders. |
