While the "storylines" as well as many of the moves are fake, the blood, sweat, tears, and many of the injuries sustained in the ring are not. So no, I don't think wrestling is fake at all.

Saying to a wrestler "I think this is fake" is probably the silliest thing anyone could ever do (to a guy that agressive anyway), but none-the-less that wrestler came across as a total asshole anyway.

I believe DrA's argument deals with the effort put into the creation of the story, rather than the actual story itself. So if we're comparing wrestling to a movie, which often requires people to perform potentially dangerous stunts then movies are in fact not fake.

The Undertaker has never been buried alive just like Jackie Chan has never fought the Chinese mafia. However, the Undertaker has torn his groin while trying to perform a scripted match just like Jackie Chan has broken an ankle while trying to perform a scripted stunt.
