The car was completely destroyed, inside and out, and the worst injury was the driver's dislocated thumb. Point being, there's nothing illogical about his recent weak spot being the #1 area to receive damage, and since he waswearing a helmet, I don't persponally doubt any more than a few scrapes and bruises at 30 mph.

If this turns out to be the work that everyone has sunk their teeth into, great -- you were al right from the start, and cheers to that. But calling it "suspicios" and whatnot is a little goofy.
Yeah, it is more likely that you'll injure an already injured area. I injured my shoulder doing Aikido, and since then, I've re-injured it twice. It's even worse if it doesn't heal properly, but any such injury will continue to be aliability, period.

Moonraker, a friend of mine was ejected from my Chevy Caprice as it rolled into a ditch. I was lucky enough to be kicked back on solid ground. It knocked the wind out of me, left me blacked out for a couple of seconds. He got hurled over an embankement. His worst injury, with no helmet or leathers? A concussion. May car wasn't completely wrecked like the example AL's giving, but he fell down an embankment after being ejected by a rather heavy vehicle (Many times what Orton's Motorcycle likely weighed). It wasn't moving at full speed, but even ten miles an hour could very easily deliver twice the force of a motorcycle accident, and that's assuming Orton was being a reckless asshat. You know, because he is one.

EDIT: One of the main reasons motorcycle accidents are so dangerous, by the way, is the lack of safety features in cars. A car's frame will crumple to cushion the blow, and you have seatbelts to keep you from being ejected, etc. So once you take away factors like protection, you're talking a much more dangerous scenario than a bike.
