I don't think it's so much the posession of opinions as it is the way the wrestling forum sounds utterly retarded on the subject.

Not that the wrestling forum doesn't normally sound retarded, but when they start talking about the way UFC conducts business, the pretense of any competence, knowledge, or reason goes out the window.

Especially when alot of the people putting their input do not watch the UFC and haven't seen what Brock did to Heath Herring, who in theory was next in line for a title shot.

He was submitted in 90 secs. That is true.

However, he DOMINATED 88 of those secs. Taking him down with ease and dropping him with a jab.

Here's the thing about Brock, yes - he's green. But his work ethic is pretty unparrallelled and he's a bad match up for Randy Couture. Yes, he got tapped, whatever. Randy Couture, much as I love and respect him, is not a submission fighter. All of his skills are the same skills Brock has, except Brock is bigger, stronger, and faster. Randy only has experiance which in theory will be negated by a much larger and better wrestler in Brock Lesnar.

Yeah, Brock was on fire. People were too busy laughing at him for tapping to look at everything else. A loss is a loss, but you know he learned from that.

If he trained for real fighting, instead of fake fighting, maybe..

Ray Lewis is one of the toughest dudes ever to play in the NFL, but I don't think he'd make it very far in MMA, unless he trained for an extended period of time, even 10 years ago..

Well, first of all I think Taker must have some kind of training in fighting to be as feared as he is/was, even if its just basic.

Secondly, there were a lot more street fighters back in the day of UFC. You telling me Taker couldn't hammer Tank Abbott? Nowadays it is all about well honed athletes with extensive martial arts backgrounds, but in the early days of UFC you had all kinds of guys in there.
