My problem with Cena is his lack of any kind of real, intense edge to his character. He's said it before in interviews: nobody writes lines for him - they give him the basics of what they want him to say and he goes out and does his own thing. That's the problem. His "own thing" is often vanilla white icing. Yeah, it's good - tastes good, looks good - but it's bland as all fuck, and god damn it, it's on top of the cake and that's what we're going to get.

For example, "Cena is Poopy" is still fucking unforgivable to me, and I'm willing to bet that it was his fucking call to write that shit. Just awful.

Austin had edge - Rock had edge - Triple H had edge - Sting had edge - hell, even Samoa Joe has more of an edge than John Cena. I don't truly blame the guy for this - I think that edge and that "cool factor" are part of who you are as a human being, and Cena simply doesn't have that.
