My point was that gimmicks are ideas. Attention getters. Gimmicks are very rarely "bad". The question comes in when a guy is placed with a gimmick and it either works for him or it doesn't. Some guys can't do certain things and the gimmick is thusly inhibited. Also, some gimmicks are executed horribly, but it doesn't make it a bad gimmick, it just means the writers over- or underplayed a high potential idea.
Doesn't make the gimmick bad, it just ruins it for someone who could have used it well. |
