I really don't like Ryder's chances of making it, unfortunately. The cutoff date for the main roster seems to be more around WM time, hence why I was surprised to see even Dolph Ziggler made it. Ryder did basically nothing for ages until he got moved to ECW.

His only real chance at getting in is if they include Hawkins & Ryder in the game just for the sake of getting a tag team in. He'd be the old Zack Ryder, but it could be like La Resistance and Vito a few years ago where he is in the game as his old self but has his new tron and theme.

They may go that route with him, or seeing as how Hawkins hasn't been used since at least pre-draft. Yeah he was around and active before then but that was with Ryder. I honestly think it'd be in their best interest, if they're going to include Ryder in the game, that they leave Hawkins out and not have the Edgeheads in as a stable this year.

When people say this one is crap, I'm going to believe them.

No GM mode ruined it for me. Granted this years was the first I had bought since 2006 but I would still play 2006 whereas the only reason for me to go back to last years effort is for a one off exhibition match.

Looks exactly the same as 09. Why is Summerslam 08 areana in? Shouldn't it be 09 come release? The new camera affect for finishers is better than previous years.

It may look simaler to 09, but we don't know how it plays yet, as well as whats been changed. Hell, if you showed me a picture of 08 next to 09, I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference, save for different attires.

I can think of 2 possibilities:

A.) They've not yet put in all the new arenas for the '010 build (not likely)

2.) Seeing as how a bulk of the information regarding how the game will play is set to come forth at this year's SummerSlam event on the 23rd of this month, it is far more likely that they will probably unveil the game with all the '09 arenas, including SummerSlam at that event...I'm guessing they just want to surprise us all with how great it will (or at least, should) look.

I'm digging the finisher effect this time around. It looks a lot like the slowmotion black and white from a few years back. Personally, I've always thought slow motion is the best effect for finishers. Now if only we can get immediate post match replays.

Actually, I've come up with a third, and most likely, reason why they showed the SummerSlam '08 arena as probably being this year's SummerSlam arena in the game: We got the SummerSlam '07 arena in the game last year, because I believe all the arenas from Backlash through Armageddon every year in every game, are always a year behind the current year (i.e., therefore, every arena from Backlash through Armageddon will probably feature the '08 sets, Armageddon especially due to the obvious fact that the '09 Armageddon event will not have taken place at the time of SvR '10's release.) However, it is quite likely that, following this logic, Royal Rumble '09, No Way Out '09 and WrestleMania 25 will be in, as they took place early enough in the year to actually get a good idea of how they need to model those arenas.

Not to say it's not possible that Backlash-SummerSlam '09 couldn't make the game, it's just not likely, because they've never had the current year's PPV arenas in past WM...

lol, apparently that countdown clock is based on your computer clock.

If you set it past the time it's supposed to go up, the site opens up and just says "CLICK TO WATCH ON GAMESPOT.COM", but it just goes to Google. Sounds like it will just be a trailer though.

Only one factor will decide if I buy this game..
General Manager Mode or something close to it.
UNLESS..It has a brand new engine with 100% completely different controls. I just keep feeling like I am buying the same game every year and General Manager is probably the only recent addition that makes me want to keep playing.

The screen shots are....intresting I guess.

I do like the look of CAW though. Picking your pose sounds good, and judging by the looks of it, It looks better than last years CAW. It looks more detailed this year.

As for the shot of Orton and Maryse, I don't know what the hell that is or can be. Just randomly guessing, I'd say it's probably create a Vignette or a Promo or even a TitanTron. Something like that anyway.

Though the rest does look just like 09 but with updated attires. Like Orton looks EXACTLY the same as he did in 09 but the only difference is that he has his tattoos on his arms now. (Which would be good to read that passage on his elbow now. I've been wanting to know what that says since he first got it. )

So far, I'd say it's looking good.

Sounds hella interesting tbh...almost like EWR with graphics. Makes up for the lack of a real story mode...we're only getting 6 Road to WM stories again (one of which is a divas one) but ah well.

And it's coming out October 20, two months from now. Like a month early than the standard release.
