Yeah the days when WWF/E had the strongest mid card they ever had. The Radicalz, Dudleyz, Hardyz, E and C, Angle, Jericho, NAO, Kane, Rikishi, Too Cool, APA and the list goes on...

All those characters had substance. those were the good days.

To be honest, while sometimes entertaining in the WWE, and being a great thing for the tag team division -- I think TNA has seen The Dudleyz most consistent work.

THIS! Team 3D has really stepped up their performance since their tours in Japan and their continued work in TNA. I loved the three way feud with E&C and the Hardys as much as the next, but outside of that I never got that Bubba or Devon much cared or tried. It was like they achieved greatness in the minds of the fans, and just started phoning it in since then (minus the original One Night Stand PPV). Honestly, from about WM17 onward, they just seemed lazy to me.

But then once they were released, I think they wanted to really up their game. I think they saw promise in the redemption of themselves. Like the Steiners or Williams/Gordy, I feel like they told themselves they had a shot at being a globally welcomed iconic tag team. They had something to work for.

When you think about the Dudleys, it really is an amazing story. They started as a gimmick stable in ECW, and I think Bubba and Devon wanted to prove they were legit, so they busted their asses and became white hot in ECW. Then they earned their spot in WWE, and again, comedic gimmick, and once again, they pushed themselves to even further up their game and got MAD over in WWE. Then where were they to go? They didn't have anything left to push them...WWE's brief love affair with the tag division was dying, and while other teams saw break out single stars (Edge, JBL, Jeff Hardy) both Bubba and Devon kind of floundered about. So, they team back up together only to realize that there isn't another team to push them against.

CUE: Future Endeavors, and since then, it's like someone lit a fire under their ass to not only solidify their legacy, but to shove their popularity and abilities up the ass of everyone at WWE, especially those who thought without the name "Dudley" they could never get over. In my own way, I've come to love Team 3D more than I ever did the Dudleys.

TOVO Fact: Tovo was always more of an Eliminators fan during their run in ECW.
