Why did you delete the save games? It's not like the save file thing has been a secret. It's been one of the main touted features of the game since before Mass Effect 1 was released.

Also, I started playing today. Like it so far, but haven't gotten into the 'guts' of the game really. Pretty much just got into the first actual system you can explore.
