Besides Ryan Miller, he the the only Sabre that I would not give up for anything.

The way he can join the rush and glide around the ice for a man his size is incredible. I think he can put on 15 pounds to bulk up a bit and not miss a step.

Following Campbell's logic, Ovechkin should be suspended for four games, since that what Lapierre got for a similar (but slower) hit. That's what they did with Cooke. They just compared it to a previous hit.

Versus returns to DirectTV


DirectTV and Comcast have reached an agreement to return the Versus network to the DirectTV lineup on Monday. The agreement was announced in a joint press release, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
DirectTV customers who were receiving Versus at the end of August 2009 will start getting it again.
“We are pleased that both sides were able to work out a satisfactory deal to bring this programming back to our customers,” said Derek Chang, executive vice president, Content Strategy and Development at DirectTV.
“We’re excited that we were able to come to a fair agreement that puts VERSUS back in millions of homes with DIRECTV in time for our busy spring programming schedule,” said Jamie Davis, president of VERSUS. “We look forward to super-serving these fans with NHL regular-season and playoff coverage, our first live UFC event and much more.”

Why does Ovechkin get suspended for 2 games, yet people get in all out brawls and dont get suspended? Also, do you think the Blackhawks will be looking for Ovechkin to get at him the next time they play sense he broke dudes collar bone.

As I said, if Cooke doesn't get suspended because Richards didn't get suspended for a similar hint on Booth (hint: they both should have been suspended), then Ovechkin should get what Lapierre got for a similar hit. I hate Lapierre, but Ovechkin's hit was even more brutal then his, and he gets 2 games less.

Why?

Because the Caps play the Penguins on what would have been Ovechkin's fourth game of his suspension. Can't make him miss another Crosby/Ovechkin game, which the NHL love so much.

Technically no one is out of it in the East YET. Hypothetically the Leafs could still make it with a miracle season ending run and the teams in front of them could collapse. But I don't see that happening.

Carolina still has a good chance of making it if they keep being hot and the teams above them continue on going 2-6-2 in their last 10.

They should love that. It's the main attraction to there sport. I'm rather annoyed that i'm sitting here tonight wanting to watch hockey and theres no on. I watched that Caps vs Blackhawks game and despite Ovy getting runned, the game was high entertaining.
