Ok, so if somebody won the title the way he did, do you think he would be "on that level" like a six time world champ like RKO or a multiple time champ like Cena? No, that just doesn't make any sense. He looked REALLY good in the match, and his character will build. One thing i do like (which i don't want him to act like EVERYTIME he comes out) is the "no-nonsense" look he had. Shows that "hey, i am the champ, i need to get serious".

Just wait and see what happens.

Well, I'm sure that if WWE was going with a storyline like this they would've mentioned it. As far as we're supposed to know, Swagger is WWE Champion. End of story. They should book him as such.

Lol i love how Swagger wins the championship via "cash-in" when an opponent is down and out, and Swagger is supposed to be unbeatable. Even rookie QBs who are drafted into the NFL aren't the top five QBs in the league until a couple of years. C'mon people, lets not get TOO technical about everything with wrestling. I think that is one reason why fans aren't as "hot" as they used to be because they: 1) Think they know everything and how everyone should be handled 2) won't chill and relax and drink beer and enjoy the damn show. God i miss ECW.

It still doesn't make sense to have the champion lose. He is supposed to be the best of the best. How can that be if he is losing one-on-one matches cleanly (no matter who it is)?

The World Championship is supposed to be above everything else, which means the guy who holds it should be treated as the top guy.

Where did I say he should be able to beat everyone? I'll say it again, since you don't seem to get it:

The World Champion should not be losing one-on-one, non-title matches.

Whomever holds the World Championship is supposed to be the top guy [kayfabe here, kiddies]. Don't see the leap of logic here.

screech, if you are going to get technical about it, then i guess Kane shouldn't have lost the title back to SCSA back in '98. Though i would've liked to see that, its called "building up" and "momentum". Yes, he is champ and he should not lose THAT MUCH. But your first week, winning by a cash-in of MITB, and you go against a guy who is not only hot, full of momentum, but is a six time world champ, has wrestled the likes of ALL the top stars in the WWE, and Swagger is just supposed to "beat" him b/c he is champ. I understand he needs a clean win, do not disagree there. But its his first week as champ, he didn't win the title match by a "clean" victory, and he doesn't have the resume like RKO. If, that is, you are going to get technical.

Swagger needs a good PPV win, a SD! win and maybe a tag match loss, then ok. But he did not "work his way up the ladder and win at a PPV", he cashed in MITB in a "10 sec title match". What kind of "skill" does that possess?

Screech has said that he's referring to one on one NON-TITLE matches like 9 times now, thus making your example irrelevant. This is a basic wrestling concept here. Narc wants to talk about logic, well the Big Show should be winning every god damn match he is put in lol. But he is not, the business is portrayed as "you can lose any night, any time, any show. Be on your A-game and get ready". Swagger is going to do fine as champ, IMO. The guy will "learn" from his mistakes and will not "lose non title matches" as much because he realizes what level he is on now. That is modern day logic about ANYTHING pertaining to a type of "sport" or "Sports Entertainment" for this matter.

How he won the title is irrelevant here. I don't know how many ways it can be said: The World Champion should be treated as the top guy, no matter who he is. If that is not the case, then there is no reason to have a World Champion, as he would be just like everyone else.
