Yea way back in the day before the Net and all, WWF would have "odd" things happen at house shows, because they knew no one would ever see it, outside of the people in that market. For example, Tito Santana actually pinned the Undertaker in 1991 at a live event in Texas, weeks before the "undefeated" Undertaker lost his first match to Hulk Hogan at This Tuesday in Texas. It was done to please the large Hispanic demographic in that market. Similar events tended to happen in Montreal with the Rougeau Brothers in the late 80's, early 90's.
Obviously now they can't pull that off because of the ease of it spreading on the Net.
